What in the world has happened to r&b music? I just heard new singles by Trey Songz w/ Soulja Boy Tellem and Gucci Mane, and by Mario w/ Gucci Mane and Sean Garrett - man, what has happened to r&b?
All of these homothug looking singers wanna be gangster and have guest rappers and the music sounds like pure d shit! Scarey. Now Monica is duetting with Keisha Cole, and the latter can't sing a lick; Mary J. Blige w/ Drake, wow.... all of this is too much. No wonder record sales are in the toilet. Now I will admit 98% of R&B is crappy but still.....you're quite too late to be complaining.

I mean even though hip-hop had always been part of R&B since it came to be in the 1970s, you were starting to get these thug wannabes trying to be R&B singers or at least R&B singers trying to be hard. It's never recovered since.

Yeah, you're right R&B REALLY hasn't been the same since....I've notice that we agree with a lot of things .

It became 'Neo-Soul' - Sorry, I know that title is not liked here, but that's kinda what R&B has tranformed into. The shit that is called R&B by the radio is really just hip-hop with an R&B artist singing the chorus AKA hip-pop. Prince Rogers Nelson

No it's reverb and beats. Fine. It's reverb and beats mixed with elephant turds. Man, R&B really is sad nowadays. Really hurts my heart at what it's become. Such a waste. Prince Rogers Nelson
