Nope. He's not buried yet. Last I heard, he was supposed to be buried at Forest Lawn, but that was a temporary placement for him. I hear they signed papers and trying to get him buried at Neverland. i feel bad for the neighbors because it's going to be so much traffic

really?

But they should bury him as soon as possible, the man has been dead for more than 2 weeks and they still didn't bury him eek , I don't think thats right at all. sad

Your right. Acorrding to the law here in CA, they have UP to 21 days to bury him. Furthermore, if they want to transfer the body from one county to another for burial, it has to be done going from one mortuary to another mortuary via proper transport, such as an ambulance or some such, where the drivers are license and cleared for that type of transport.

Of course there are fee's for every juncture and point along the way. It's not cheap. And if they want to eventually have MJ laid to rest at Neverland, that will be really tough and costly from a red tape legal standpoint. It can be done but it would certaintly cost a small fortune if MJ was already buried at Forest lawn or some other place and then later unburied (?) and re-buried someplace else... like Neverland.

so the family might be trying to get through to red tape and figure out which way is the best route to go. Which could explain the hold up on the situation.

They may be trying to get a quick clearance if possible to just go ahead and vbury MJ at Neverland now ....bypassing Forest lawn temp. burial.

I don't know and I dont mean to presume anything esp. on a family in the midst of grief...but I do know a little bit about how complex these red tape
kinds of things can get and at the worst time in a persons life too.

however they only have 21 days. Then you get in trouble with the state.
this is the time of the first fast.

yeah but hen she turned on him. maybe he forgave her but i don't think he trusted her judgment enough for her to come out acting like she was his best friend. MJ kept to himself of his own free will I think. she is delusional if she think he was being held captive or some shit and that's why she couldn't get in for a visit. hell if she was my sister I'd be turning her ass away too.

Well one of Michael's friends told Greta on FOX, that it always easy to get a hold of Michael at Neverland, but after that, it was really hard for some people to see him at his new homes. He told of one incident when Michael invited him, but security barred him away at his new mansion when he came to visit him.

Last I heard, his body is temporarily in Berry Gordy's family mausoleum in California.

That's the type of memorial place he should be in anyway. They should build one for him. The body should not be underground, nor burned. sad

EXCLUSIVE LOOK: Michael Jackson’s Last Costumes
July 2009

As Michael Jackson prepared for his final This Is It tour, friends on set say the pop star was never better. “He’s still a terrific dancer,” says costume designer Dennis Tompkins, who worked with Michael Bush to create an “over the top” wardrobe for the tour. On his final night of rehearsal, Jackson “was doing the moonwalk. Everything!” says Bush. “He did the whole show full out at performance level. He was like, ‘When are we going to London? Let’s go. I’m ready.’” He was also on a creative high. “Working with Michael for 25 years we had never seen his creativity at this level,” says Bush. “It was like where is this coming from? I get goose bumps thinking about what this visual was going to look like.” Though the show won’t go on, Bush and Tompkins gave us an exclusive look at just that. Here’s an inside look at what you might have seen.

1. A THRILLING JACKET: Costumers Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins re-created Jackson’s iconic looks for each of the 26 songs he was to perform, but the singer asked, “How can we take it to the next level?” Bush recalls. The solution? Fiber-optic lights sewn onto his red leather “Thriller” jacket, for a surprise light show timed to the music.

2. OLD FAVES: Jackson was going to back his signature crystal glove and socks, which caught the light — and assured that even fans in the back could see him dance. “He was so excited to perform,”says Bush.

3. A MILITARY SALUTE:
For the star’s rendition of “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You,” Bush and Tompkins created a “regimented, military” look.

4. BELTS AND WHISTLES: Tompkins had to make sure items like this jeweled belt would fit Jackson’s slight 27 3/4 inch waist, but says his weight was not an issue: “He was a bit smaller, but he was always thin.”

5. MAJOR DANCE MOVES:
Jackson’s new Billie Jean suit held 7.5 lbs. of Swarovski crystals and 60 lights, so the star made sure he could do a spin before signing off. “The dance came first; costumes were secondary,” says Bush. “And his moves were sharper than ever.”

Debbie Rowe Plans to Attend Jackson Custody Hearing

By Elaine Aradillas

July 11, 2009

Debbie Rowe, the ex-wife and biological mother to two of Michael Jackson's three children, has kept a low profile since the singer's death on June 25.

But now that a hearing has been scheduled at Los Angeles Superior Court on July 20 for temporary guardianship of the children, Rowe plans to be seen.

"[Debbie] says that she will definitely be at the custody hearing," says Marc Schaffel, a former business partner of Jackson's and a close friend of Rowe's.

Rowe's children – Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11 – have been staying with their grandmother Katherine Jackson at her Encino, Calif., home since the singer's death. Blanket (Prince Michael II), 7, Jackson's youngest child, was born from an unidentified surrogate.

Katherine was named guardian in Jackson’s will, which was revealed last week, and is petitioning the court to keep the children with her. Neither party is required to appear in court, officials say.

Neverland Burial For Michael Jackson Still a Possibility
July 2009

Michael Jackson’s burial may be allowed to take place at Neverland, pending an application process and the approval of Santa Barbara county officials, CNN reports.

While the Jackson family has not yet approached country officials about the request, CNN writes that a Jackson family lawyer contacted officials about the possibility of burying the singer at his famed Neverland Ranch.

Under California law, it is illegal to bury a body at a private residence. However, by filling out a two-page application and paying a $400 fee, the law can be circumvented pending the approval of county officials.

It was previously believed that Jackson’s family was planning to bury the singer at Hollywood Hills’ Forest Lawn Cemetery, but instead that was just the site of Jackson’s private memorial service and open casket viewing. Reports are that while Jermaine Jackson wants to bury his brother at Neverland, father Joe Jackson is against it.

There is some precedent in a private land burial, thanks to a former President: California native Ronald Reagan was buried at his Presidential Library in Venture County. However, a request to be buried on private land has never been filed in Santa Barbara County.

As we previously noted in our examination of Neverland’s life after Jackson, even if the family elected to bury Jackson at his former home, the quiet county of Santa Barbara might be reluctant to allow the Ranch to be turned into a tourist destination like a West Coast version of Elvis Presley’s Graceland.

Also, there’s the question of who really controls Neverland now, since Jackson signed the deed of the Ranch over to billionaire Tom Barrack Jr. as the singer struggled with debt. Barrack said the property’s future would be discussed at a later date.

The mayor of Gary, Indiana, the Jackson 5’s hometown, has already opened the door and publicly lobbied for the Jacksons to make Michael’s resting place in the Indiana city.

Mayor Rudy Clay’s plan would also include the construction of a Jackson family museum in Gary, as well as a performance arts center.

Huh? confuse I read another article that said that both Jermaine, and Joe were for the Neverland burial.

I will just make this comment the more the Jacksons (except Jermaine) give these individual interviews JOE ! LATOYA ! ...it will make it harder for Katherine to get primary caretaker for the children. They need to be quiet creating a protective environment. and GOD forbid they label his passing as a self mistake
it won't be good the courts will try and say Michael wasn't in his right mind. I hope it will be the doctors to be at fault in all of this.

PATERNITY is irrelevant. Where they his kids biologically or not - doesn't matter.

The whole issue was settled when Paris spoke from the heart.

"Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine."

To these kids Michael WAS and FOREVER will be THEIR FATHER. To squabble back and forward over who is the father, who is the mother, ultimately means nothing.

Anyone can create a child, it takes a real parent to raise them.

My heart goes out to MJ's three kids cause their world has lost more than the rest, they have lost their father - a true loving connection that goes beyond questions of bloodlines and DNA.

I absolutely agree but if the courts even think for a second that Joe will try and get the kids in the business ..it just won't look to good right now.And the kids are making it clear who they feel comfortable with so all will be well.I hope the judicial system can be strange at times.
