I hate the Wycleff overdubs, but "You're Love Is My Love" is a very pretty/cool song.

You Give Good Love, I "thought" I knew what "love" was... way back in 1985. confuse rolleyes wink Little did I know. wink smile (I loved the song, immediately... I loved watching Whitney sing it up on that stage, in a empty room).

~Simply a beautiful song..., I can still visually see it now in mind. The Lyrics now/today can still be quite profound... being older, I still connect with them. Although now, I truly know/feel what "love" is. heart

(listening to it now) music heart

I know it's really OTT and cheesy, but One Moment In Time makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

I love the song "Thinking About You" from her 1985 debut album.Kashif wrote, produced and sings on it with her. It's one of her most soulful performances ever.

Here are some of my other favorite Whitney songs...

***"Saving All My Love For You"(1985)---Sophisticated and soulful, this is one of her best songs. It kills anything she has done in the last decade or so.

***"All At Once"(1985)---a great pop ballad from her amazing debut album.

***"Just The Lonely Talking Again"(1987)---this song could almost be considered jazzy. It has a cool,"smoky room jazz club vibe" going on.Very similiar to recent recordings by Nancy Wilson.

***"Didn't We Almost Have It All"(1987)---Usually,I hate these big, overblown,Michael Masser pop ballads but Whitney sings this one with so much conviction and power, you can't help but be hooked. This is a vocal tour de force!!

***"For The Love Of You"(1987)---Whitney does a great job covering this 1975 Isley Brothers hit.Producer Narada Michael Walden makes it all sound effectively lush and exotic.

***"I Have Nothing" (1992)---'The Bodyguard' soundtrack was a comeback for Whitney after the underwhelming 'I'm Your Baby Tonight' album. This song was the highlight for me.

***"Why Does It Hurt So Bad?"(1995)---This Babyface song is mesmerizing, probably the best song on the 'Waiting To Exhale' soundtrack.

***"I Learned From The Best"(1998)---I love the lyrics on this excellent tune.I'm surprised that it didn't do that well as a single.

The cover of Chaka's "I'm Every Woman" and "Saving all my Love for You". They get me going everytime. I think Whitney is a marvelous singer, she just got caught up in the cross-over crap and never recovered imo. I still like her though.

"Yeah yayay, yeah yayay YEEAAAH" the back-up vox are the shit. Kashif def killed that funky motha.

-"I'm Saving All My Love 4 U"-The best, simply becoz this the 1st song I learned and sang. And becoz I've witnessed her sang this motha live at 85(cough when I was 3 yrs cough lol)

-"You Give Good Love"-I played this song in my wedding, it was mid-night and sound cheesy and corny but I really felt like Whitney(like in the video) when she was singing in the empty cafe with the man photographing her. Off topic, am I the only one who thinks that the lead man in the video looks alot like D'ANGELO wink Kashif produced that song and it was written by someone called 'Lala", very beautiful video btw.

-"Thinking about About U"-LOL Tell 'em Dave,,,nuff said biggrin

-"How Will I know"-I really enjoy this bubbly song right here, simply becoz it brings alot of memories and her voice was something else. This is the song that made Brandy start singing(Not supriced tho rolleyes)

-"The Greatest Love Of All"-Very heartlfet ballad, how come nobody mentioned this. The video is fantastic too hell Whitney always have the best videos.

-"Home"(The cover from a Diana Ross's song)-She debuted her offical stage pre4mance with that song in Merv Griffin show. She started nervous but at the end *wheeooeoo* child took everybody's breath nod. You can check it in her DVD Whtiney: Greatest Hits(A must see ya'll)
