I just bought this album because I wanted to see what it was all about. It came out in 2001, but she made it when she was 14/15 (so '95/'96 time) as a hopeful launching pad for her music career, so it's like a big demos tape basically. It's not really all that bad; sounds very 90s actually; and some of the songs are pretty short. In the booklet, she wrote a note about how these songs were never supposed to be released and they don't reflect her musical mindset anymore. Since she put a disclaimer on this 'album', I wonder if she was compensated for it's unexpected release?

Has anyone else heard this 'album'? If so, what are your thoughts on this production?

I have it. You can tell she's a lot younger on it, her voice isn't nearly as strong as it is now. Christina and RCA Records were so pissed off that it was leaked and advised fans now to buy it. Months later some indie label Warlock Records was supposed to release it but Christina filed a breach of contract lawsuit against them. I guess she basically felt that the songs sucked and didn't represent who she was and where she wanted to go at the time in her career.

They finally came to a settlement and it was eventually released.

It's actually not that bad but the production is nothing spectactular.

^^ It's not terrible, but I can see why she didn't want it released. I guess she made them put that disclaimer in the cover. I don't blame her for being mad, because that's was a pretty screwed up thing to do to her. I'm really surprised that it took her soo long to get a record deal because her voice was great even at such a young age.
