This is one album from Q I hadn't ever heard the entire way through. I've only heard bits and pieces. THis album is definitely a classic. Great arrangements and songs. My favorite being "Summer In The City", which you probably recognize.

I loved his take of Stevie's You've Got It Bad Girl. I've never heard the album entirely tho. I'm trying to find the Body Heat and Sounds & Stuff Like That albums. Check me out and add me on:

Yeah i want the Stuff like that album too and Al no Corrida. I'll admit i have none of quincy jones solo material. 
And i don't want that back on the block or Juke Joint stuff. Don't laugh at my funk

And i don't want that back on the block or Juke Joint stuff. YOU HAVE TO GET THE DUDE!!!! It is essential in any music collection. Not to mention Sounds and Stuff Like That. I liked Back On The Block and Jook Joint. Jook Joint is mostly a look back at his career. He redid a lot of songs that he had a connection with on there. "Rock With You", "Do Nothing Til You Hear From Me", "Let The Good Times Roll", etc. All remakes. There were more than that, but I can't remember right now. Back On The Block is really good also. It's more commonly known for "Secret Garden", but "We Be Doing It" is damn good. I was so pissed it wasn't the 2nd or 3rd single. It was much better than the Siedah Garret tune they released. I know he appreciates today's music and hip hop,but I don't wanna hear those artists on a Quincy Jones album.If he does another album like that,I won't buy it. | |
