Surprised?


STOCKHOLM — Festival organizers say hip-hop and R&B singer Lauryn Hill has canceled all tour dates in Europe this summer for health reasons.

Stockholm Jazz Festival spokeswoman Liisa Tolonen says the artist's agent informed the festival late Tuesday that all performances in Europe by the former Fugees singer have been canceled. This includes shows in Sweden, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, and Austria.

Tolonen said Wednesday the agent cited health reasons for the cancellation but declined to give more details.

The tour would have marked a comeback to stage by Hill who has kept a low public profile in recent years. She was the planned headline act for The Stockholm Jazz Festival, one of Sweden's biggest music events.

I think it's because she (still) doesn't want white folk to buy her music.

I didn't even know she was planning to tour this summer.Her career is a big mystery these days.

Lauryn has big issues and I highly doubt she will ever do anything that interests me again. Her Miseducation is a masterpiece, but she's done IMO.

but i'm pissed now with her. She's worse than MJ. Constantly new album rumours, promises. Then nothing. Or if she does something, like a mini concert or stuff, it's shit and uninspired.

Miseducation may always be my favorite rap album but hands up folks... her latest offerings were disapointing. Three chord wailing songs with almost no hooks, verse and chorus aren't distinctive and stuff...

If she has lost the magic touch or if she doesn't wanna do this fame game she should leave it alone and stop destroying her myth! she could be the fuckin black Greta Garbo.

Lauryn Hill been going downhill for some time now. She has serious mental issues If you don't believe me go see her in concert. If she does actually has another concert. I saw her back in the summer of 98 and she was awesome. Now she is a shell of her former self! When Wyclef dated her he said her behavior was strange way back then. She has like five kids now with Rohan Marley, legend Bob Marleys' son... If she said anything offensive to her fans; she probably wasn't in her right mind anyway.

Fans have been complaining about her odd behavior, and even walking out on some of her past concerts!

Oh well...

I wonder if she's been suffering from some anxiety disorder. Since she began losing it back in 1999, she's basically crawled into a proverbial hole and seems to pop out every once in a while to make a comeback, only to cancel such comeback attempts due to unspecified health reasons. She seemed to handle fame a heck of a lot better in the mid 1990s, but I don't know what's causing her to freak out now.

At first I thought Rohan Marley had that dope magic stick but I think Lauryn just crazy on her own. Rohan Marley was married way before he met Lauryn Hill, and both the women have accepted it, because neither of them will leave. At one time Lauryn and Rohans' wife were pregnant at the same time! Yeah he got that dope magic stick!!!!! I'd have to run from Rohan, I don't need that kinda lovin....

I like Lauryn Hill and I hope she can make a comeback someday. She gave us some extra performances at her concert. I'm glad she did that because she had us waiting for an hour! This previous music she got out, some of it is suicidal to listen to.

In all seriousness, I'm not so sure she wanted all the huge success she got surrounding "Miseducation" and/or knew how to handle it, but Rohan got it on lock down, no joke!

I don't think she's crazy, per se, but when you add such massive success and crazy men (Wyclef and Rohan) to the mix, it just seemed to much for her to handle.

Lauryn had help with the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and she took all the credit and money. She got sued like hell, and had to pay out BIGTIME!

Yeah Bob Marley had ladies waiting in line. Mama Marley was okay with it! She used to bring women up to his room to sleep with him, when he was during his concerts, and getting high on weed. If you watch those tapes on his life, you would be shocked! In their culture the first wife gets more honor.
