This is one album from Q I hadn't ever heard the entire way through. I've only heard bits and pieces. THis album is definitely a classic. Great arrangements and songs. My favorite being "Summer In The City", which you probably recognize.

i need an income in order to buy music though I totally feel you on that. I got it from yourmusic.com . I love their service, but I had to cut it out for a while. It's only $7 a month. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I loved his take of Stevie's You've Got It Bad Girl. I've never heard the album entirely tho. I'm trying to find the Body Heat and Sounds & Stuff Like That albums. Check me out and add me on:

Nice grab.
Superb arrangement of the Lovin' Spoonful classic! Another beautiful tune from a great album featuring the sublime harmonica of Toots Thielemans... ...Eyes Of Love Now you've also got Streetbeater (more commonly known as the theme from Sanford & Son) and... ...Chump Change (used for The New Bill Cosby Show) tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Yeah i want the Stuff like that album too and Al no Corrida. I'll admit i have none of quincy jones solo material. And i don't want that back on the block or Juke Joint stuff. Don't laugh at my funk

I might suggest any one of these. I see those all of the time. I think that Verve is reissuing a lot of his catalog. The cd said it was a remaster at a special price. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Yeah i want the Stuff like that album too and Al no Corrida. I'll admit i have none of quincy jones solo material. And i don't want that back on the block or Juke Joint stuff. YOU HAVE TO GET THE DUDE!!!! It is essential in any music collection. Not to mention Sounds and Stuff Like That. I liked Back On The Block and Jook Joint. Jook Joint is mostly a look back at his career. He redid a lot of songs that he had a connection with on there. "Rock With You", "Do Nothing Til You Hear From Me", "Let The Good Times Roll", etc. All remakes. There were more than that, but I can't remember right now. Back On The Block is really good also. It's more commonly known for "Secret Garden", but "We Be Doing It" is damn good. I was so pissed it wasn't the 2nd or 3rd single. It was much better than the Siedah Garret tune they released. [Edited 6/10/09 13:19pm] Yeah, The Dude is a definite masterpiece. I always consider it to be the cousin to Michael's Off The Wall. Every home should have a copy! So true. Even his later work is 10x better than most. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

And i don't want that back on the block or Juke Joint stuff. I have 'Stuff Like That' and 'The Dude',gotta get some of his other 70s albums.I used to have 'Q's Jook Joint' but I eventually got rid of it.It's a bloated mess, with a million guest stars! I know he appreciates today's music and hip hop,but I don't wanna hear those artists on a Quincy Jones album. If he does another album like that,I won't buy it.

I was appalled at what Quincy did with "Stomp" (the Brothers Johnson classic)

Several years ago,he was working on a new CD and some of the guest artists mentioned were Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson (pre-Tittygate) as well as Dr.Dre and Snoop Dogg.I'm glad he (apparently) cancelled this project.
