George is currently working on his new album with a friend of mine, producer Joshua Paul Thompson (Joe, Olivia, Luther Vandross).

I haven't heard any of the songs yet, as Josh tends to be very guarded with his projects. But I was told that the album will be an R&B project with a contemporary sound.

Josh, in addition to being a great writer & producer, is a damn good jazz guitarist in his own right and will probably be doing some guitar duets with George on the album.

Buenos Dias Orgers,

One of the best guitarists of all time. I really hope George makes a jazz trio album. To this day, he hasn't made one. For all of you guitarits out there, I highly recommend his 1971 classic Beyond The Blue Horizon truly one of the best guitar and jazz records EVER made. This is the real deal...before all of that BREEZIN stuff. To me,for the last 20 years George has been just coasting...that's all. It just don't cut the mustard, as the old folks would say.
