Yeah Mary did an independent album in 1983 called "I'm a Lady: The Old, New & Best of Mary Wells", most of the tracks were her Motown oldies redone in a funk production including newer songs such as this and the title track which were done in what you call a "new wave funk" sound. nod

This was one of the only tracks I found, I heard a snippet of "I'm a Lady" and it was nice. I also heard a funk version of "My Guy", which was more danceable than the Motown original (though I still prefer the original version lol ).

hmmm...i think i'm gonna look for more tracks from this era by her online. cheers! i basically love finding old skool 80's new wave/funk albums. kind of a little hobby of mine and this sounds like it might fit in.

I got her "In and Out of Love" album from 1981. You ever heard "Gigolo"? Great track right there! headbang
