Well, that cut is hardly live and he isn't even hiding it. His dancing is a whole better though than what he did on that anniversary / self-tribute thing.

Really? Was he any good? I've tried my best to blank 2002-2004 from my mind...

It was literally 3 seconds but it was pretty nice. He came from backstage, did a little dancing with James Brown, and then gave him a Lifetime Achievement Award.

You never seen it?

I've seen pictures. I took one look at the jeans and the spaced-out expression on his face and decided I didn't need to watch it. lol

The last time he sang a bit live was at the World Music Awards during "We Are The World", which was 2½ years ago. For a full song, it might have been either at the Apollo performance - where no proper footage apparently exists - or with his brothers just prior to the release of the "Invincible" album.

When he last performed in concert on September 9 and 10, 2001.

That's the last time I remember seeing him on TV when not entering a court room.

i will never forget waiting for 13 hours to see him pay tribute to the 9/11 victim's families - and then he came out wearing a space suit, stepped into a crane that carried him out over the audience while lip synching the entire time

what an American tradgedy
