Is Michael Jackson Dying?
I have no idea if this is true but…–“In Touch Weekly” claims that The King Of Pop is seriously ill . . . and maybe even DYING . . . of a variety of ailments. First, Jacko is supposedly suffering from Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency . . . which is a deficiency of a protein that’s instrumental in protecting and preserving the lungs. As a result, the magazine says he needs a LUNG TRANSPLANT. But, he also allegedly has emphysema and uncontrollable gastrointestinal bleeding, making him so weak, he may not be able to handle the transplant. Oh yeah, one more thing, he also only has 5% vision in his left eye. ???? Meanwhile check out the pix of him shopping the other day in L.A. - he looks fine to me, (well, I mean healthy…he still looks like a NUT)… but it’s pretty sick what’s in his car waiting for him… http://wzzrdirt.com/2008/...son-dying/

Unfortunately I am a bit numb. More due to the fact that in my head I am hearing some people on here just chomping at the bit to say "see I told you he would cancel his shows".
It's sad that in a state like this, some people are still going to claim its a stunt, a hoax, etc and you'll start to see a whole lot of people posting mis-information appearing on the net to either just take advantage of the situation or to deliberately rile up the fans. I hope that Michael is ok, and that while the story unfolds everyone keeps themselves in check and treats this story with / and each other with respect. Let's wait til we know all the facts before we all start speculating one way or the other. Swa "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

When I first heard the news one of the websites (was it TMZ?) was reporting that he'd suffered a cardiac arrest as a result of an overdose - now I can't find the site. I do hope it wasn't suicide

Michael Jackson is in a coma [Updated]
2:06 PM | June 25, 2009 [Updated at 2:46 p.m.: Pop star Michael Jackson is in a coma and his family is arriving at his bedside, a law enforcement source told The Times. Jackson was rushed to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center this afternoon by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics. Fire Capt. Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a call at Jackson's home at 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation and took him to the hospital, Ruda told The Times.] [Updated at 2:12 p.m.: Paramedics were called to a home in the 100 block of Carolwood Drive off Sunset Boulevard. Jackson rented the Bel-Air home for $100,000 a month. It was described as a French chateau estate built in 2002 with seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 12 fireplaces and a theater. The home is about 2 1/2 miles, about a six-minute drive, from UCLA Medical Center. An earlier version of this post incorrectly described the time to travel between the home and hospital as two minutes.] The news comes as Jackson, 50, was attempting a comeback after years of tabloid headlines, most notably his trial and acquittal on child molestation charges. In May, The Times reported that Jackson had rented the Bel-Air residence and was rehearsing for a series of 50 sold-out shows in London's O2 Arena. Jackson had won the backing of two billionaires to get the so-called "King of Pop" back on stage. His backers envision the shows at AEG's O2 as an audition for a career rebirth that ultimately could encompass a three-year world tour, a new album, movies, a Graceland-like museum, musical revues in Las Vegas and Macau, and even a "Thriller" casino. Such a rebound could wipe out Jackson's massive debt. —Andrew Blankstein and Phil Willon http://latimesblogs.latim...-ruda.html
