I just heard on CNN that Susan has had some kind of breakdown and has been taken to the hospital. I'm sure reportage will be coming out soon.

The tabloids are screaming mental breakdown while the more tradtional and mannered dailies are saying "exhaustion."

I can understand exhaustion...the women's been through a lot.
I'm not from the UK, but I watched her performances on youtube,
and I have to say, tears came to my eyes with each performance.
I certainly hope she gets her second chance.

The media is so invasive and out of control these days. I can't imagine it being easy for a middle-aged spinster with a cat, to suddenly to have paparazzi following her around her small village and camped out on her lawn, and having to to do satelite feed interviews 24/7. Then everywhere you turn, they're digging up old photos, your church recordings, tramping all around your village to interview your neighbors. It's a horrible way to live. I just hope that she manages to recover, and will get a chance to get something positive out of this experience. There's market aplenty out there for the material she does, and I hope she'll be able t follow her dream, heck maybe even find a nice old pot bellied silver fox to kiss her every night after she comes offstage...
