It may not have been played live for a long time but it HAS been played live in the past.
It's on the live DVD that comes with the deluxe edition of The Joshua Tree. This is not an exit

Definitely one of their best, but it was performed live throughout the 1980s. I'm hoping that since their latest CD sounds quite a bit like this era of U2, it'll end up back in the setlist. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

That'd be great! Bring back "Wire" and "A Sort of Homecoming" too.

Go search on youtube for unforgettable fire. There are plenty of live performances of it. I wish I could hear a live version of "Acrobat" and "Red Hill Mining Town(If Bono could hit those high notes live).

i was reading salman rushdie's novel "the ground beneath her feet" again
and it made me want to listen to the song again as well. always loved that song, mostly because the lyrics are by rushdie but i think U2 did a great job with it. now, my question, have they played that song live? and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I think the thread's author meant "Acrobat." An honest man knows that he can not consume more than he can produce.

Well they did "Acrobat" during soundchecks for the Zoo TV tour. I think "Red Hill Mining Town" would probably be the best U2 song never played live. Was supposed to be the 2nd single from Joshua Tree, but Bono didn't think he could hit the notes in the song night after night. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

Shawnt26 said: That show in Paris is one of my favourite things in my U2 collection - There's something very odd and naive about it, and that's very interesting seeing as by the end of the Joshua Tree they were massive stars and it had all blown up so huge. This is not an exit
