i was listening to this album last week and it's still so goooood.
a bit more easy to get into than her later albums but that gives it a nice charm. still remember seeing "on & on" the first time on mtv when the single had just been released and thinking "she's incredible". bought the cd the day it was released and got all my friends hooked on her. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

For all you Baduites - I caught her show at UCLA Reggae Fest this past Sunday 5/24 - saw her do "The Cell" and "Master Teacher" for the first time live!!! Setlist (that I can remember): Intro (Amerykahn Promise instru.) The Healer Me My People Solider (first verse and chorus) On & On ...& On Appletree Twinkle The Cell New Song (or something that was a cover? either way - it was very bizarre) Master Teacher The Otherside of the Game The Healer (reprise) Seeing her do MT and The Cell live was amazing! Esp The Cell - think I still dig the album version of Master Teacher, but The Cell live is sooooo fonky! New appreciation all over that one... I'll leave it alone babe...just be me | |
