Rumoured verse 2 the song celebrate

"It's so cool to be uncool
it's so good to be bad
Isnt't this the best thing you ever had?
Everybody wants to party with you,
Ce ce celebrate"

http://www.madonnaonline.....asp?#5468

the site is trustworthy...and it does sound like something stupid madonna would write these days...still I hope not!

The first 3 lines are from the AL outtake, supposedly called "Cool Song" or "It's So Cool", only the line starting from "everybody..." is the actual line from "Celebrate". This is according to the reliable fan who was leaking the info.

Madonnaonline.br is certainly NOT trustworthy as they are responsible for creating the whole tour DVD fiasco, they claimed at the end of last year that it would be out in March under Universal label, while it never appeared on any universal lists. Later on, they published an item saying the DVD was delayed because of the extension and that a 4th HC single would be released. Days later, Guy Oseary shot down any speculation for HC singles and said the DVD would be out at the end of 2009.

well...that info about the dvd came before madonna decided to extend the tour and then postpone the dvd realease...so they reported the tour extention when everyone thought it would not happen given that madonna never did it before...and they're careful with new information making clear what's rumour and what's officially confirmed.

Calling all Madonna fans! The Queen of Pop is coming out with a long-awaited greatest hits collection this fall.

long awaited..isnt this like her 3rd /4th greatest hits package

yes, but,,,

the very first one from 1990 spawned the 80s hits plus Vogue, Justify My Love and Rescue Me.

Then tehre was the ballas collection but it did mostly feature stuff that was NOT on the Immaculate Collection.

GH2 from 2001 included her biggest hits from 1992-2000 minus the ballads.

I don't count remix albums.

So, it's not that much and to this day there is no Madonna best of that spawns all of her hits from all three decades.

So it is indeed long awaited.

I usually shy away from best ofs because as a non-casual fan who buys her albums it seems unnecessary but if the package is great I might conider buying it.

With Madonna making changing to the show such as the setlist, costumes etc. Does anyone know if she has plans on extending the tour back to the United States? From what I have been reading on websites, they are saying that a show in Israel (September 1) will be the last show on this leg of the tour and with that said, it gives you the impression that it may not be the last show on the tour. Has anyone heard about more shows in the United States?

The extension didn't happen from one day to another. It's been constantly rumoured for weeks before it got announced.

They still made up the Universal thing, there was absolutely no evidence to that.

Taz69: It was confirmed when the extension was announced that there are absolutely no plans to bring the show back to the US.
The changes in the setlist and costumes are nothing major, 90% of the show will look and sound like in 2008, so you're not going to miss much with this extension.

If she's already putting new songs in the set and tweaking the costumes, why not put together a WHOLE NEW GREATEST HITS show? Candy Shop is so tired (that part where she says "MY SUGAR IS RAW" and does some Backstreet Boys-rejected choreography is embarassing!!!) To promote the hits set - and bring it to America in the fall. Madonna's obsessed with touring anyway - and the money it makes her and Live Nation.

^Because it's still the Sticky & Sweet Tour, so the gross of the new dates can coupled together with last year's tour, making sure nobody steals her solo touring crown. Hard Candy is still on all the tour posters and banners, it's still her latest project and most of the time it's what she wants to perform, not her hits.

A GH tour should happen at some point though, if we go by the greed and oversaturation of LN. Adding the 2 new songs is probably done for the ICON/Twitter etc fans, Guy Oseary has to keep them interested.

According to one of the Madonna Tribe webmasters, "Revolver" might not even be a single and at the moment "Celebrate" has a bigger chance to be the leading single for the GH.

Nah, it might just be personal preference, since she didn't write "Revolver" and all. Leaks never actually stopped her, she even wanted "Candy Shop" as the first single.

I hope "Celebrate" is good enough, although I'm not really excited for a "Get Together" rehash... confused Good thing this is just a GH and not a full album.

I cant really agree with that. I find her output post Music (music included in fact) to be just a few hit singles, some interesting production, and some half baked cliche lyrics. I like the albums, but not in the same league that i liked anything leading up to Ray Of Light.

She's fallen into a rut, and is going through the motions when it comes to recording. Dont get me wrong, i find her albums strong still, and with some killer songs on them, but its not in the same league as her 80's / 90's stuff.

hmmm I don't think any longtime artist can make music that's as inspired and amazing as the music they made in their prime. It would be unrealistic to expect Madonna to record something as sensational as 'Ray Of Light' or 'Like A Prayer' again. That would be like expecting Prince to create another 'Sign O The Times' or Michael to do another 'Off The Wall'.They haven't been able to do it,either.

I would disagree with your assertion that Madonna has fallen into a rut.I think she still makes music that is highly enjoyable and inspired,if not always groundbreaking. From this decade,I can name a bunch of songs that I like as much as her 'classic' hits from the 80s/90s ("Miles Away","Heartbeat","Jump","Gone","Get Together","Push",etc).'Confessions On A Dancefloor' is just as strong as any of her 90s albums, imo.Out of all my favorite artists,I am always the most excited to hear a new Madonna album. It's amazing how long she has kept my interest, lol.

Her only misstep in this decade is 'American Life'.Don't get me wrong,I personally like the album.I "get" it,I understand what she was trying to do.The problem is,it's not what most people expect from a Madonna album. It's a dark, moody album with hardly any real dance music at all.I prefer her to keep her music focused on the dancefloor.'Confessions' and 'Hard Candy' are a return to form, filled with the type of music that fans prefer.

I don't think Madonna particularly cares for "greatest hits shows".She enjoys building a tour around whatever new album she has out,and throwing in a handful of oldies for good measure.I think if she ever decides to do a greatest hits tour,it will be her final, farewell tour.I could imagine "Take A Bow" being the final song.

Yeah, that would be heartbreaking neutral Maybe she'd better close the show with an uplifting song like "Holiday".

I wanna point out my view:

I think in the 00s she did her best albums. yes! "Madonna" is now one of my faves, it's all dance, some classic pop songs on it.
LAV has the big singles but the rest ist crap. The same goes for True Blue, good singles, but real bad fillers. I think her songs were strong, but nothing particular innovative. Radio friendly stuff.

LAP was the first department, and I would say it's her best aeffort of the 80s. personally I never got into it, my 80s fave is "Madonna"

The 90s were different. I think only after LAP she became an album artist. Her singles were not as catchy or huge as the 80s stuff... but the albums had a real good quality. One certain theme. Erotica is a bout sex, Bedtime Story bout struggling with life, sadness, loneliness...
Ray Of Light was her best album this far and still my best. Also the beginning of the electronic stuff and ROL created the myth that Madonna is a musical pioneer, lol

So, the 80s only had three studio albums.

The 00s were ral cool. Music is an experimental album with a few cool songs (the other songs are fillers, but because of their inventiveness they still manage to be cool).
American Life is another of the albums I think every song is listenable.

COADF had four of her best pop songs EVER. Back then I thought: Wow, amazing she stil has the talent to come out with cool stuff.

And I don't have to tell you how much I love HC.

But it's just personal.

I've always been fond of this type of video. Live footage, behind the scenes, shots of the fans in the audience. I was expecting this type of video for "get together," "jump," and if it had ever been released as a single, "the beat goes on." But it fits perfectly for "Miles Away."

of course, PHENOMENAL idea, in the future in order to save costs ALL of Madonna's videos will feature shots of the fans in the audience, behind the stage scenes, a live performance and stuff.

Wow, nothing woulda have suited Get Together, Jump and Beat Goes On more.

and resistor ---- don't ya think Miles Away is Madonna's best video so far? Better than LAP. Music or JML?

it's perfect for the song but not for songs like Beat Goes On and stuff.

I would have included much more behind the scenes footage for the MA video. Something like in IGTYAS, where Madonna can be seen tired and with little make up in her car, dressing room etc.
