Just bought one of these 3 Euro compilations ("Star Club präsentiert"), a best-of from Grace Jones. Her music is so timeless, this is just absolute killer stuff. Nightclubbing, Pull Up to the Bumper, La Vie en Rose, Private Life...

Sly and Robbie laid down some dirty tracks, and she is soo great and hushing, whispering and singing her songs.

I am sure there are many Prince fans appreciating her music...

I only got into her, properly, in the last year thanks to two Orgers - I had 'Island Life' for years but *I* wasn't ready for her. Then, and I always love how this happens, she just HIT me. The timing was right. And I love that - it's, like, 'How the hell have I managed to sleep on this all these years??!'. Art and nature collide, almost. I saw her live a few months ago and it was a fantastic concert - she was filthy.

There are loads of Orgers who love her , much more than me. They've been fans for years and years - but she's quickly become one of those artists I refuse to delete off my Ipod when it runs out of space. Even Prince has got the chop over some of her albums.
