I've never heard it but I doubt that it's danceable. He probably slowed the tempo of the sample down like so many other rappers were doing back in his day. Regardless though, I wouldn't care if it was funky as hell, if it's thuggish, I wouldn't like it because I absolutely despise the hell out of thugs or anything thug related.

thuggishness asdie, its the EXACT same tempo and groove andy lol

did you hear (be forewarned..im damn near a diehard by now) his "at most im just" mixtape - with nothing but incubus samples?

That's another thing!

INCUBUS?!

When was the last time you heard someone say "Hey man, that new Incubus is out, I gotta get that!"

except for the thug rappers you'd like to make your bitch right? lol

(i think i remember you saying something to that affect)

Oh, I'd have a thug in bed though. I used to have them all the time, that's part of the reason why I hate them so much. I'd still have one though just to show him that he'll suck a dick also if I stop right before he gets his orgasm and yes, he's just as gay as the person blowing him. What can I say, I'm a bitch with pride. lol

what is going on in hip hop
heres whats wrong

a)too many rappers are sounding alike(ie soulja-boy sounds like t.i,kid cudi sounds like kayne west

b)every 6-8 rap records are auto-tuned(enough already.....)
c)no creativity on the music because the record exec wants the rapper to remain"hard"in order for them to make there money.
d)rappers dont get paid on there cd's because of production costs, studio time and there video's probably only getting 8 cents to every cd sold
e)rap cd's drop out after 5-6 weeks on the charts
f)there is no rapper out there willing to "change"the game, not willing to bring it back to the old school in fearing they become "soft"also lyrically nobody saying anything
g)hip hop stations should be willing to clean up there playlist not conformimg to the record labels also not playing the same single over and over again
h)some rappers do not own there master recordings

That's your first time hearing that jam? Hell, I was shaking ass to that one way back in the old skating rink days in the early 1980s. It sounds like some funk from outer space that I used to picture the 2000s sounding like. Boy was I wrong. lol

You know what? I never thought about that, but YES...YES ..and I think they feel the same way about people that only listen to hip hop. I think it is better than it was in the ninties up to 1996 then when Missy and them started coming out with uptempo rap cuts it got a little bit better...now the mainstream rap music is stuck in commercialized unfocused state it has been stuck in for a good couple of years now.

The underground scene is GREAT though. Especially for East Coast artists.

We all know the answer...its not going to go away anytime soon unless somebody starts the change.

And as much as you guys hate Lil Wayne...and I do too.. I APPLAUSE to him being the only commercial rapper right now to try to learn an instruement and get into a rap / rock genere of music that has been greatly looked over ever since rap got very popular. My little brother and his friend actually like it. I say the more people start to test the waters the better it's going to get.

As we can see today people like Florida and Soulja Boy's albums arent even going gold or platinum. They are ringtone rappers and like Cash Money and Master P and all them..they're time will come. Thats why I hate when people rip on Eminem when in essence he is NOTHING like any of these commercialized ringtone rappers these days.

Because rap in general is caught in a web and has been for a long time, the tide has not changed, except dudes aint selling for the most part like 10 years ago. The only reason i will watch a rap video is for hot women, plain and simple, i have no interest at all, how many times can you rap, "come see me in VIP, U and Ure friend plus me", its so fucking played at this point you just want to smack the shit and bling out of a soulja boy or flo-rida, but as long as dumb ass white boys and white girls buy the shit in droves, its going to be law of the fucking land.

Take my advice, go to LL album and listen to "DEAR HIP HOP" and realize what rap is now and was then, and how it got there. Put it simply as LL raps, "We were sold to the highest bidder and pissed on like kitty litter"

Last decemeber, it's the white guys that are buying it, not white gurls. This was found out in a survey i remember hearing about 10 years ago. Plus many of my white girlfriends and white girls that I know hate rap/hip hop and listen to rock/country. And don't forget there are many black people that buy that mess as well. So there is blame to go all around. Really, you can really blame it on younger generation because I know a lot of people my age hate today's hip hop/rap.

Hip Hop as a whole have been bastardized and exploited to make a buck. It doesn't have to be good (Lil Wayne and his ilk) to be popular and successful. People like Lil Wayne make it hard for the Mos Defs, Talib Kwalis and Jean Graes to get the fame they deserve. Yeah, true hip hop heads will seek out the good stuff but why should they have to?

I don´t loathe it but look at that cover you posted. That should give you an idea.
Of all the people mentioned on that cover, there is only ONE rapper that I like ( and that is Talib Kweli). Too many wack rappers like Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy,and countless other wack rappers have usurped and ruined the reputation of a once revolutionary youth culture called Hip Hop. What most people call Hip Hop today is utter bullshit, has nothing to do with Hip Hop, makes me feel ashamed to even say that I grew up with Hip Hop and makes me ponder whether the whole genre should refrain from using that name in the future. And I´m not even saying that it is the gangsta rap or thug culture that´s ruined it because that would be too easy, there are really talented gangsta rappers out there.
It is the lazy rhyming, lack of flow, beat biting, style biting, zero talented and ignorant dumb ass fools out there that make me want to do ugly things to them. Sure ,there are still good rappers out there but the genre as a whole has suffered a lot from all those who jumped on the bandwaggon called Hip Hop.
Hip Hop is or was a movement and some people never should have USED the word Hip Hop, and that also goes for people who used all those new labels like "Queen of HipHop Soul" or what not. I´m seriously fed up and sick of it.Hip Hop needs an enema.
