Does anyone think A&M/Universal will ever release remastered editions of the 1982-1989 albums?

I highly doubt they will bother to ever remaster Janet Jackson or Dream Street. Hell, they'd remaster janet. before those first two. Control needs it more than Rhythm Nation 1814.

A&M doesn't own janet.

You're slipping on your Janet knowledge, Cinnie! lol

Universal owns pretty much everything though. I was trying to straighten this out in another thread. Who is Virgin controlled by?

^ And this would be the year to re-release it if they did, since RN1814 came out in '89, they could make it a 20th Anniversary re-release, with a few extra bonuses thrown in like remixes or unreleased tracks that were recorded for the album--the way Mike did his Thriller 25.

And Thriller 25 actually gave Mike good press. Re-releasing an already popular album is like a no-brainer.

RN sold the most out of all of Janet's albums right? Or it just had the most #1s.

*RN1814 the only album in history to generate seven top-five Billboard hits.

*Rhythm Nation 1814 is the only album in history to have number one hits in three separate calendar years; "Miss You Much" in 1989, "Escapade" and "Black Cat" in 1990, and "Love Will Never Do (Without You)" in 1991.

*the janet. album was her most successful album to date

Yes, Janet killed that performance of "What About" at the VH1 fashion awards! Love that performance. I hope it's a joke tho that all Janet news goes in the MJ sticky now. There's no reason why she shouldn't have her own thread.
