YOU BECAME A CARCASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taken from Siouxsie and the Banshees' debut album The Scream is this hysterical gem, "Carcass"!

The "he'll hide you from the cleaver, he'll hang with you forever" lines as well as the ending "Carcass! Carcass! You became a carcass! Caaaaarcas!" make me bust a gut!

So appreciate this wacky song that reveals that punk was also a lot of fun!

Someones in cold storage
seeking heinz main-courses
craving for a raw love
He'll hide you from the cleaver
he'll hang with you forever
longing for a fresh meat
By hook or by crook
you'll be 1st in his book
for an impaled affair
By hook or by crook
you'll be last in his book
of flesh oh so rare

Chorus:
Be a carcass-Be a dead pork
be limblessly in love
Be a carcrash(carcass)-Be a dead pork
be limblessly in love

Someones left in cold storage
thawed in heinz main-courses
carving for a new tin
He got you with the cleaver
he hung you up forever
anticipating new skin

Out of the frying pan
and into the fire
58th variety

Out of the frying pan
and into the fire
mother had her son for tea

Chorus

In love with your stumps (the pain)
In love with the bleeding
In love with the pain
that you once felt (now feel)
as you became a carcass (,we became a carcass)
(Carcass-you became a carcass)
carcass...carcass...carcrash

(In love with the stumps
In love with the bleeding
In love with the pain
that you now feel
as you became a carcass
-we became a carcass-
carcass
you became a carcass
Carcass
Get him in... ...but don't whine you swine)

There is indeed something special about that first Banshees album. The studio version of "Carcass" has nice hand claps.

The latest batch of reissues are out:

A Kiss In The Dreamhouse
Nocturne
Hyæna
Tinderbox

The Banshees are now about caught up with the Cure with remastering their back catalogue. Next release is the At The BBC box set in May!

That's just amazing , an abundance of riches drool . You know if you buy one of those cheap DVD players at Best Buy , like maybe a Philips brand, they will play PAL discs. They're usually multi-regional..

I already have a five disc DVD player and a blu ray player. I can't see myself paying for yet another piece of hardware to watch videos. lol
