Reggaefied Marvin Gaye B-Side I was just listening to this song and I came to find out that it was originally recorded by Marvin Gaye and Mary Wells in 1964.
Seems kinda spooky since I was just participating in the "Remastered Marvin Gaye Albums" thread. The cover is performed by Jacob "Killer" Miller, who used to front the reggae band Inner Circle, until his untimely death in 1980. Yes, that Inner Cirlce, who had a hit back in the '90s with "Girl I'm gonna make you sweat." You can find Jacob's version on the "Mix Up Moods" album. Here's the original version, which, I understand was originally featured as the B-Side to a song of theirs called "What's The Matter Baby": | |
