Once again, Off The Wall is not a debut album. wink

In what sense? Even if Forever Michael was Michael's first solo album (during the younger years), his solo career as an artist pretty much started with Off the Wall.

In what sense? Does the word debut allow all that?

Debut is understood as the first, not the first successful or first mainstream.
How is there any definition that would allow 'Off the Wall' to be a debut?

Exactly. And how on earth could Forever Michael possibly be a debut also?

Well I take debut to mean the beginning album of someone's career.

Michael's solo career as a full grown man (with his man voice) started wih Off the Wall

Why does it matter if he was a full grown man? Even by your definition 'Got To Be There' is the beginning album of Michaels solo career.

Because of his age? Not buying it. He did not become someone else by growing up.
So Janet gets a debut redo too?
NOT.

Off the Wall is not Michael Jackson's debut album in any sense or concept. Sorry.
