"Working Girl" by Cheri (1983) I remember hearing this song on the radio in the spring of '83 and I thought it was a new Vanity 6 song! Cheri's lead vocal sounds a little bit like Vanity and the girl in the chorus sounds kinda like Brenda.Plus,the controversial subject matter (prostitution) was something that Vanity 6 would have tackled,lol. It's a good song.Didn't go very far,though.I guess the radio programmers didn't know what to do with a song like this | |
