I want a sexy big black....

.....record album. See there, I bet y'all filthy dirty minded heathens thought I was gonna say something else. No, not me. I don't think such nasty things with my sweet little pure as the driven snow self. lol

Anyway, is there anybody here that actually prefers vinyl over CDs? I know I do. Vinyl isn't near as fragile as CDs. It's bigger so that means better and more artwork. You can put your hand all over that big black thing and you ain't gonna hurt it. Hmmm....it's bigger and you can actually touch it....sounds like something else you can do the same thing to. lol It also just sounds better. To me, the bass seems to pound harder and deeper. And also, in this day and age of CD recorders, you can record the vinyl onto a CD and have the music on both formats. Not to mention the more creative things you can do with vinyl such as mixing. You can mix with CDs also if you have pitch control but you can manipulate a turntable better with your finger.

Anyway, do you prefer vinyl or CDs?

SoulAlive

Vinyl rules but on the other hand,CDs are smaller, take up less space and are easier to transport.

I like the sound of vinyl better. And if you take care of them, they last longer than CDs will too. I've got some vinyls of my parents from the 50's and 60's that still sound great, and CD's I bought in high school that skip all over the place and basically sound like shit.
