Love the bassline!  It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

That bass line is not a walk in the park. It's one of those that even the vets hear and go "How the fuck is that even possible" ? "Is that kind of funk legal in the states "? 4 us bass players out there this is about as close as we'll get 2 see on how "Glide" is supposed 2 sound...

Sorry all...gotta do it...lol. I live in Portland & Pleasure was kinda "our" funk band. Rog & "Shock", too. Miss em SO.
Nate's a bloody genius on the bass. I always thought he conjured this (YES...very technically difficult) bassline directly from the ASS (from which all Funk originates  . He just felt it & played it at the sessions. 
My only misty comment.....I SO wish I could take you & all the You Tube afficianados back to Portland to see them live @ The Paramount circa 1980.....they were the DOPESHOW. Funk deluxe. Funk Is It's Own Reward | |
