Who's gonna pay the Ticket Price??

So this morning I've been trying to get hold of Michael Jackson tickets, along with the rest of the world it might seem.

I earn a reasonable income and drive a nice car. To me £75 plus a £10 booking fee is dear and borderline acceptable to pay for one nights entrainment.

Suffice to say, all the tickets are now gone, and I didn't get them in the end. While I was waiting for ticket master to get it's arse into gear, which it never did, I did some casual browsing for tickets online, and the prices are just silly, £200 / £300 /£400 ?

I mean, other than absolutely die hard Jackson fans, who is going to be paying this sort of money? Surely there aren't that many people out there who can actually afford to splash out, what is more realistically like £600 for a pair of tickets?

Personally, if I paid so much (which I just wouldn't) my expectations would be so unbelievably high I am sure I would be disappointed by the concert, however good it was.

This isn't about Michael Jackson as such, more to do with the price of concert tickets?

I'm just astonished that demand can be so high that 50 dates can be selling out at these sorts of prices?

But not only that, that people have this sort of disposable income to spend on a single night, not even maybe 4 hours entertainment?

Remember when Janet cancelled her Japan dates and blamed it on the economic crisis? falloff Michael has just proven that people will still spend lots of money on a concert, despite the lousy economy.

In any case,it's easy to see why the Jackson brothers are so desperate to get Michael on board for a reunion tour. They know that he's the only way that they can sell tickets.

I know people who have spent thousands on tickets for other artists like Madonna and Striesand. It baffles me too

I was watching her NBC special and thought "Damn, this tramp can really put on a show!"

Yeah, she doesn't always sing live and yeah she doesn't play 10 instruments on stage, but she knows how to put on a muthafuckin' show and she's always known how to entertain and please her fans

highfive That's why I thought the excuse was cute. Janet cares about little ole me and my Japanese fam's economic situation? That's sweet. Recession or no recession as long as I'm working I will be getting my Prince tickets just as folks are getting their MJ tickets. lol

Janet's excuse was bullshit lol Michael and Madonna have proven that fans will go to a show if they really want to,regardless of the economy.

mancabdriver

there is a site that's selling the top tier, worst seats for about £193.

Hopefully no one will buy that, and prices should go down in due course.

From 7am until midday i tried to get tickets but had no luck, damn shame.
