I would love to hear the Teddy Riley remix of this song that's on the import since I already love the album version...

It is a good cd. I still like his last one better, though. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

John is the kind of person that will be around a while. He's been at the longer than most know. It wasn't until his major label debut came out that people took notice, however, he's been doing this for well over 10 years. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

But will be care about him, or will he even be relevant. I don't think so.

Some break new ground, some tread the ground that's there currently and try to expand on it. That's the way things like music are. If John leaves the business now, he managed to help bring back the man and the piano. That had become a lost art. I'm not defending him or anything, but you have to be real about it. I'll be the first to admit that I never really liked him at first. It wasn't until I saw him live that I gained respect for him. He is sooo much better live than most of the youngsters now. He actually knows how to perform and entertain. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Sure, the polished production wasn't there, but the songwriting was heartfelt and solid. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Prince MJ, Janet had longevity and success for a long time. John legend hasn't even captured half of what they did. People will actually remember janet, prince and mj. But John legend not so much.

I wasn't comparing, just giving you an analogy. John hasn't approached "legendary" status, but the fact remains the same, everyone has their 15 minutes of fame. I'm just saying P, JJ and MJ's is over and John is still in his. That's it. As for the longevity, sure, John hasn't acquired his yet. I don't think any artist will achieve the amount of fame that past entertainers did. Simply because we live in a new society and people have so many different ways of being entertained. Albums used to get 3, 4, 5 and 6 hit singles per album. Now, they are lucky if they have 2. Why else do you think that record companies release 2 singles before the album even drops? The last time I remember and album having several hit records was Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway, Usher's Confessions and Fergie's albums. Are these people successful? Yes. Will they be considered legends? Who knows? [Edited 3/12/09 14:41pm] **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

[Edited 3/12/09 14:41pm] NO the reason we won't have artist like Mj, janet, or prince, is because the quality of music has gone down, and most artist today have no real kind of talent, and can't even dance, play instrument, or write or produce. Every artist copies each other and try to be the same. MJ, janet, and prince were themselves and stood out. If Usher continues to make hit albums and stop looking like every other black rnb artist i think he will be remembered. John legend isn't even on ushers level either. He's kind of cute, but he's boring thats all.

To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh, a time to weep To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven A time to build up, a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones A time to gather stones together To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven A time of war, a time of peace A time of love, a time of hate A time you may embrace A time to refrain from embracing To everything - turn, turn, turn There is a season - turn, turn, turn And a time for every purpose under heaven A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew A time to love, a time to hate A time of peace, I swear it's not too late! **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
