You Rock My World is a pretty good song. the only real problem I see with it is that it came out in 2001 and it sounds like it was straight out of 1999. that particular version of the Rodney Jerkins sound was very dated by the time it was released.

As for the song "why" ,Mj's version still exist,it was supposed to be on the history album tracklist, he made a mistake and let his nephews to listen to the track, they loved it so much and asked for it,and Mj gave it to them...its one of few songs written with babyface during the "history" sessions,I bet Mj's version is better

^^I disagree.."Rock Your Body" is a very good song,with a retro 'Off The Wall' vibe.It's much better than the bland "You Rock My World"

I wasn't 100% sure which of those songs was "intended" for Cher (by Casablanca). Cher ended up co-wroting "Bad Love", kind of a combination of the two in tone, with Girgio for the 'Foxes" soundtrack (which Donna's "On the Radio" also ended up on, I believe). It's damn good!
