New Edition or New Kids on the Block Who was the best group: New Edition or New Kids on the Block?
In my opinion, I like them both, even to this day. Sure they had a lot of differences musically, but they all had mutal respect for each other. They even collaborated on a song, you know what it is.

well i would say new edition. ONLY because i like more of their songs. Like i can listen to all their stuff. Vs NKOTB i only like a selected amount of songs....
but i think they are both great groups and have nice harmonies and dancing.

everyone knows NKOTB wouldn't have existed if it weren't for NE. that major fact notwithstanding, NE all day. they actually successfully matured into ADULT artists. Heartbreak is a classic album. i own nothing by NKOTB

Hands down New Edition. NKOTB was a white version of NE anyway. They were all formed by the same guy, I forgot his name but his nickname was "The General". Give me the original anytime of the day. [Edited 2/26/09 7:40am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

They have a collabo on NKOTB's new cd, we get em both. That song is TERRIBLE "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

NKOTB has been selling out concerts all over the world this last year, all over TV and are back with better music than they had previously. Where is New Edition? On a NKOTB collabo. Just saying...

Just so you know, New Edition had released not one, but 2 reunion albums already. The one with all 6 members (Home Again) was their biggest selling career album ever. And THIS was back in the mid-1990's when all of the NKOTB members had reasonable doubt about doing an reunion of their own after watching how successful NE's reunion album AND tour were going.

Oh I totally agree. New Edition paved the way. I'm down for both of them.
