I wouldn't say Mick and Keith hate each other, more that they put up with each other. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Marvin Gaye - Prince & Rick James.
Although Rick and Grace Jones presented Marvin with a Grammy in '84 or so and everything seemed fine n dandy.... still, I wonder what his reaction would've been to Prince and Nona gettin it on That reminds me, there's more footage of him performing "Let's Get It On" and towards the end he stars stripping. He gets to his underpants and says, "I'm not Prince I can't take this off!" [Edited 2/23/09 22:48pm]

In Miles Davis' biography he writes about how annoyed he was when Clive Davis had advised and insisted Wynton Marsalis that it was
okay to appear un-announced onstage during one of Miles' concerts, not even with an instrument... just go and standing there onstage next to Miles. Prior to that, Miles was already irritated about Wynton's disrespecting opinions to other musicians. Miles described that during that stage-incident and before noticing Wynton next to him, he suddenly saw people in the crowd looking shocked and also hesitant if they were gonna cheer or not. From what i remember reading in the bio, the convo onstage between Miles and Wynton went something like : Wynton : Hey Miles ... Miles : What are you doing here ?! Wynton : Well, Clive said it was okay to go onstage ... Miles : I don't give a #* ! Get outta here, you're interrupting my show ! Miles just hated how Clive tried to bring them together and that Wynton followed Clive's advise without hesitance. [Edited 2/24/09 0:02am]

mick jagger-keith richards lennon -paul page plant rick james-prince these are only examples of musicians who hate each other ,add yours please I think their differences have been overcome now, but I think the Davis brothers from The Kinks had major fallings-out and also the Everleys. Plus there's no love lost between Carl Barrat and Pete Doherty. And how about Ozzy Osbourne's first album being rerecorded with the entire bass and drum tracks rerecorded so they wouldn't have to pay the old bassist and drummer royalties anymore. Not sure of the story there, but it can only have been the result of bad blood. Scott Weiland and the rest of VR? This is not an exit

On that same note I think I recall reading an interview where Jay Kay of Jamiroquai said something about how they had a whole new album planned & ready to go ahead, but then after Stewart Zender left the group, they had to start all over again so they wouldn't run into any legal problems with him. The result was their "Synkronized" album, released in 1999. Maybe there was a bit of a beef there, too. Who knows though.

It's the first 2 albums... and it's nothing more than a royalty dispute... they were hired as studio musicians to play on his albums and later wanted more money and sued him, so the Osbournes just deleted the drums and bass and let Faith No More's Mike Bordin and Metallica's Rob Trujillo rerecord their parts!

I hope you ain't suprised by that Chaka wasn't too pleased about "that girl" singing her song "Sweet Thing" even I ain't the biggest fan of Mary, I honestly prefer her version "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

The Marvin/Rick thing wasn't personal. It was an ego thing with them. But they really respected each other. Rick called Marvin his biggest idol. I say the same thing about Prince.
Marvin had a beef with Lou Rawls though that was also competitive. And that little tiff with Ms. Ross over their album, lol. Diana and Martha have had a love-hate relationship but that could be on Martha's half than Diana's. I find it surprising people express their one-time hate for Miss Ross yet you hardly hear Diana say shit about THEM yet Aretha, Patti, Chaka and 'em talk shit about other women OPENLY. Martha also had beef with the Velvelettes for some crazy reason.

Seriously? Why is that? I think it came down to more of a "jealousy" thing at that time. All I know is, my friends' pops back in the late 80s - early 90s used to throw a party for GB whenever he played L.A. and his pops ALWAYS informed us to not mention P in front of him, as all 3 of us were P fans. So, I, like the asshole that I was (and still am :lol), decided to have fun with it and I brought up P in front of GB and GB rolled his eyes and said something to the likes of "Man, don't even get me started on that chump" and strolled away to finish his drink. Now, "WHY" he was so pissed at P, I can't tell ya, but I saw it as GB just being a hater at that time. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

The Rick James/Prince feud was great and both artists made their absolute best music during that period also. Andy is a four letter word.

Is that really true? Because Mary J. sang with Chaka on her last album. They did a song called "Disrespectful", which is an old crack track of mine.
