The head of AEG did an interview and here's a synopsis
he mentioned that michael still has control over neverland, but that its in joint ownership with some other company that was set up. its name has changed back to sycamore valley ranch and that michael and the guy who owns the company plan to develop the land, and possibly sell it on.
he said that even though jackson has a cash flow problem, he is asset rich. said he doesnt want to liquidate his assets. said while obviously part of doing the concerts is to help his cash flow problem, its also because his children are old enough to appreciate him in concert and he's young enough still to be able to perform. if it was just about the money, he could liquidate some of his assets and still have plenty to live off for the rest of his life. he also talked about the deal with viagogo and how they were not supposed to charge the ridiculous amounts they are and its just a platform for fans to exchange tickets. said their lawyers are going into court to seek an injunction. said the The Times (UK newspaper) report that AEG had done a "secret" deal is completely untrue, and the AEG logo is on the viagogo ads etc. also explained how michael had a 5 hour medical. he said that there was so much demand that michael could have done a 2 year residency and "turned the O2 arena into a club" if he wanted to. talked about how michael is coming up with a few new dance moves, he's very engaged with the whole process, has got kenny ortega in to help, working with other producers and that they are going to try and have as many different opening acts as possible. sounds like its going to be a big production. i swear loads of people have just bought them hoping to make a profit i wish they would start putting people photos on the tickets like they do for Glastonbury it would solve the problem of ticket touts and if someone needed to sell there ticket they could return it to the ticket office and get refunded for the face value. Surely for such massive companies like Ticketmaster and the O2 this wouldnt be that hard. Why shouldnt people be able to sell their tickets, times are hard as mj knows why you think hes doing these shows for the love of the fans.

The tickets on viagogo are actually going up rather than down like I thought they would be. Does anyone think A2 row C is worth 2400? Or does anyone think the prices will eventually drop? If they're not already sold by then, I bet there are rich people out there willing to buy these

I would bet money (but not 2400, lol) that the tickets will drop in the next month or two, then you'll see a spike as we approach opening night. Then depending on how "sold out" the first shows us, those who have multiple tickets will start panicking and drop their prices. I think you can get some great bargains (relatively speaking) for seats in the 2010 set of concerts. The thing to check is go through all the tickets available for the shows you are interested in. You'll see some fools selling 4th teir for like 1500 each and people selling floor tickets for 500. Swa "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

I love 'Off the Wall', and a lot of his songs, of course I do! He looked great then too. I just think it's all to make some desperately needed money. I would NOT pay to see ANYONE lipsinking anymore. What the hell is the point of that? I mean we could ALL do that! I wouldn't go and see Madonna either. But there's no point in arguing about it. You're a fan and so you'll go and see him, and that's that! I was just giving my opinion. I hope he proves everyone wrong. .. But Jeffiner has a point Arnotts. I'm a fan and was gutted that i couldn't secure tickets at first, couple of days later i'm not too fussed at all. The HIStory tour show i attended in Sheffield was poor precisely because of the lip-synching. compared to the Bad tour, and even Dangerous too, he simply wasn't there. It'll be interesting to see what MJ turns up for these O2 shows. I really hope he brings his A-Game, or at least the best he can do at 50. Minimal or no lip-synching would be great, but probably unrealistic.

Swa said: Also a realist here so I am unsure which concerts you are talking about. I have seen MJ on 3 tours and have the following comments. BAD Tour - 100% live Dangerous Tour - was a mix of live and pre-recorded. 1. "Jam" (mix of live and pre-recorded 10/90) 2. "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" (100%) 3. "Human Nature" (100%) 4. "Smooth Criminal" (20/80) 5. "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" (duet with Siedah Garrett) (100%) 6. "She's out of My Life" (100%) 7. Jackson 5 Medley (100%) 1. "I Want You Back" 2. "The Love You Save" 3. "I'll Be There" 8. "Thriller" (10/90) 9. "Billie Jean" (10/90) 10. "Workin' Day and Night" (100%) 11. "Beat It" (100%) 12. "Will You Be There" (pre-recorded apart from final speech) 13. "Black or White" (pre-recorded) 16. "Heal the World" (10/90) 17. "Man in the Mirror" (50/50) HiStory - mix of live and pre-recorded 1. "Scream" (50/50) 2. "They Don't Care About Us" (10/90) 3. "In the Closet" (20/80) 4. "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" (100% live) 5. "Stranger in Moscow" (pre-recorded) 6. "Smooth Criminal" (10/90) 7. "You Are Not Alone" (pre-recorded) 8. "The Way You Make Me Feel" (10/90) 9. Jackson 5 Medley - "I Want You Back" / "The Love You Save" / "I'll Be There" (100% live) 10. Off the Wall Medley - "Rock with You" / "Off the Wall" / "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" (pre-recorded) 11. "Billie Jean" (20/80) 12. "Thriller" (pre-recorded) 13. "Beat It" (100%) 14. "Come Together" (pre-recorded) 15. "D.S." (pre-recorded) 16. "Dangerous" (pre-recorded) 17. "Black or White" (pre-recorded) 18. "Earth Song" (pre-recorded) 19. "Heal the World" (10/90) 20. "HIStory" (20/80) There is no denying the latter tours relied increasingly more on pre-recorded vocals which is a shame. But to say he just sang one slow song live is incorrect. going to these shows my eyes are wide open that a lot of it will be pre-recorded vocals but who knows. Yeah... I just watched the Dangerous DVD for the first time in quite some time and there is actually more live than people give it credit for... if the live/lipsync factor is like that at the O2 shows, than that's fine with me... although there are no excuses for not singing the ballads live!

Poor comeback?? Well if you say so! I have to ask you... have you seen his recent shows?? Fact is, almost 2 hours dancing is physically far more demanding than standing there and playing guitar, or sitting at a piano or synth, whether you like to admit it or not! And that is in no way a knock on Prince or to slight him in any way, I loved his shows, both main and aftershows, it's just stating the obvious! Prince's type of show is far more suited to continue into old age, than Michael's! Of course, Prince doing two shows most of the nights is a different story! That's still impressive!

I asked because I was curious as to why you had appointed yourself as some kind of spokesperson for all Michael Jackson fans, instead of just speaking for yourself. It became personal when you replied to my post, which wasn't directed at you, and said you were glad I wasn't going. You also said there was 'no point in me talking about it' which is why I said I was entitled to talk about it / give my opinion as much as you. There is a point to me. I tell you what, I'm glad I'm not going either ok? I'm not going, so you don't have to worry about it / me anymore, just enjoy your concert.
