Oh yes!

Plays brass slide from JAM "da da da de de da da da da doooo"

Or the one around the end of "Speed Demon". One of the impressive upspeeding riffs which i've ever heard performed by the Seawind Horns.
Other great horn-riffs i dig are recorded for "Can You Feel It" / "Everybody" and i'm sure there are more which i can't directly recall right now.
Unfortunately my examples apparently won't be on the setlist, lol, but a brass section shurely would add a special spice to the mix.

That is indeed a wonderful classic to be heard live, including those great harmonised background vocals in certain parts of the song.
"Break Of Dawn" is imo another solid track to perform.

I wouldn't put too much stock in any set list just yet. Big chance you will only be disappointed.

Yeah, you're right. But i couldn't afford a ticket because my current budget is tight with all the economical crisis going on.
It would be something though if he would record on cd or dvd a more sort of smaller unplugged-like session,
where he performs a number of songs which he previously never did live ... i'll keep on dreaming, lol.

This article came from someone from YouTube:

Randy Phillips told Sky News that he spoke with Michael after the concerts sold out in record time, and "he was crying. I could hear it in his voice -- he was choked up." Phillips informed BBC Radio 1 that "Michael's already pretty much put together a list of the dancers he wants. Michael's very engaged now." Organizers have confirmed that, despite site crashes and delays due to demand, more than a million tickets across all 50 dates sold out.

Wow! Can he get the same kind of love here in the States?

I DID NOT SAY THAT, if you look back at the threads, I have somehow been 'quoted' as saying something that I didn't. I think I 'winked' at the poster in response (which has conveniently been removed), and that was probably more a 'hello' than at anything that was said. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. This is really pathetic. You keep repeating the same thing over and over again, apparently failing to realise that no one is going to take your bait this time, either.

Let me explain this to you: People (fans) are going into these shows with eyes wide open. We don't hold any illusions for you to shatter. The vast majority of people going to these shows won't mind if he lipsyncs. Many even expect him to. Of course we all hope at least some of it will be live, but if it's not, no one's world is going to end.

So, could you do us all a favour and go beat your dead horse somewhere else?

It's very annoying for someone to come in here and shit all over someones excitment when they don't really give a damn to begin with. Sure your entitled to, but I'm entitled to shit right back. King of Pop is back....

Will Michael Jackson pay off debts with O2 gigs?

http://entertainment.time...923570.ece

Just how many shows would Michael Jackson have to play at the O2 to pay off his considerable debts?

That's the question that came to mind last week when the King of Pop began adding shows on an almost daily basis to the initial run of 10 nights.

As you can see, we make it about 160 - give or take: enough that he'd have to be doing his moonwalk well into next Spring, at any rate.

How did we make our calculations?

We started with the The O2, who told us that for Jackson's gigs, the venue's capacity will be 17,000, and that a fair assumption of the 'average ticket price' would be £70. (The 'official' tickets range from £50-75, though there's been some talk of a more exclusive category.)

So: for each night we can work out ticket revenue. How much would Jackson take away?

According to Rob Hallett, president for international touring at AEG Live, a promoter, a big artist like ‘MJ’ can expect to take home around 45-50 per cent of gross takings.

Assuming additional, merchandising revenues of £10 per ticket - “It tends to swing between £5 at the low end and £15 for a band like Iron Maiden with lots of ‘rocker’ fans who want T-shirts,” said Hallett – that means a run of 50 shows would earn Jackson about £30 million.

Estimating Jackson’s debts was trickier.

Four years ago, Jackson was forced to use his 50 per cent stake in the Beatles catalogue as collateral for about $270 million in loans he had taken out to fund his lavish lifestyle. (He had sold the other 50 per cent to Sony, the record label, in 1995 for as much as £150 million – also to shore up his finances.)

Also, in November last year, he was forced to sell his 2,500-acre ‘Neverland’ ranch, after defaulting on a $24.5 million mortgage.

Based on these and other reported estimates, we’ve assumed debts of at least £100 million. (It’s possible they’re much higher. Equally, it’s worth bearing mind that according to some estimates, Jackson’s 50 per cent stake in the Beatles back catalogue is worth as much as $500 million.)

In any event, these assumptions became the basis for The Times’ ‘Michael Jackson O2 Calculator’ – built in collaboration with Business Smart - which we hope you enjo

Michael Jackson Support Act Set To Be The Saturdays Or Lady GaGa
Wednesday 18 March 2009 at 11:14

Speculation is mounting as to who could support Michael Jackson at the O2 Arena and it seems it could be one of the UK’s best new girl groups or a female artist dubbed the new Madonna.

The Saturdays Expected To Land Shock Gig
Irish bookie Paddy Power make The Saturdays the favourites to support Michael Jackson on his O2 Arena residency this year. They have not been on the scene long but Paddy Power make them 7/1 shots.

Lady GaGa And Janet Jackson Amongst Favourites
Lady GaGa, who is seen by many as the new Madonna, is amongst three joint second favourites. Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson’s sister Janet and Irish band The Script are all 8/1 with Paddy Power to support the King Of Pop.

Who Else Could Support Jacko?
Other names that are on the shortlist include Katy Perry who is 10/1 with Paddy Power, Pussycat Dolls who are 14/1 with Paddy Power and Usher who is 33/1 with Paddy Power. To find out the odds on Take That, The Spice Girls or Madonna supporting Jacko and to see who else could be lined up and their chances, visit the Paddy Power website and look under Novelty Bets.

Jacko Expected To Have Number One Single And Album
Paddy Power think Michael Jackson will release an album to coincide with his tour, they make him just 1/6 to have a number one album in 2009. He is 1/3 to have a number one single this year. To see the betting on how many tour dates Michael Jackson will cancel this year, visit the Paddy Power website.
