Will he manage to do so many gigs though? It's now running until Feb next year. I guess it's a little easier when you're not playing aftershows until 3am too.

Jesus Christ, he should have just kept it to 10 concerts so he would have been able to pull it off physically (no matter what the ratio of lipsynced / sung live -songs would have been). He's not Prince, who has been playing constantly live for the last 30 years - even the first leg of the Dangerous tour by itself was quite a struggle for Jackson, and that was ages ago already.

If this is going to end up nasty I'm not even going to be able feel any spiteful, cynical delight either. confused

Wish I had some big bucks... hrmph

I think Mike will be just fine. I noticed he's really not doing any nights in a row; looks like he'll do a date, then rest for a day or two before getting back on it so that he's pacing himself.
Honey, stop talking and just create the music.

Also thankfully he has a week off it seems every 8 or so shows.

Also here is what the Sun is claiming is his setlist - dubious at best - opening with Billie Jean and including Girlfriend and One Day in Your Life, lol.

Add Michael Jackson to MyNME
Michael Jackson's setlist for his forthcoming residency at the London O2 Arena has been revealed – and he looks set to be playing a greatest hits set for the huge shows.

The King Of Pop will kick off the set with classic 'Billie Jean', claims the Daily Mirror, with fan favourites 'The Way You Make Me Feel', 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' also featuring. 'Thriller' will reportedly close the 16-song show.

According to the paper - which says it has seen the setlist Jackson has given to promoters AEG - songs absent include the UK chart-toppers 'Black Or White', 'BAD', 'Earth Song', 'Blood On The Dancefloor' and 'You Rock My World'.

The proposed Michael Jackson setlist:

'Billie Jean'
'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin''
'Rock With You'
'The Way You Make Me Feel'
'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough'
'I Just Can't Stop Loving You'
'Human Nature'
'Smooth Criminal'
'Girlfriend'
'Man In The Mirror'
'Beat It'
'One Day In Your Life'
'Heal The World'
'You Are Not Alone'
'Remember The Time'
'Thriller'

hmmm that setlist is too "safe" and predictable. He needs to throw in a few less popular songs, like "I Can't Help It","Stranger In Moscow","Whatever Happens"....songs that weren't singles, but became fan favorites.

Yeah, this isn't about "winning or losing".It's not some competition or game. For once,Michael is doing what he should be doing: performing for his fans. He's putting the focus back on his ART and that should be applauded.

No tickets available for the 'final' day.
I get a 'deja vu' feeling from the O2 presales for P in 2007.

And then tickets 'become available', suddenly...
Yeah right.

Just seeing Michael Jackson live would be enough of a treat for his army of fans. But that’s not enough for Michael - he wants to give us something fresh and new. According to gig promoter Randy Phillips:

“Michael has got some new music and he is looking for a new way of disseminating his material to his fans. The star may give away a brand new album to fans at his shows, a measure used by Prince in 2007.”

Wow! The possibility of a free Michael Jackson album! After spending silly amounts on a gig ticket, food, drink, transport, hotel, merchandise and stupid Michael Jackson lookalike gear, it’s good to know you’ll be getting something back
..... eek eek eek eek eek

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT from Ticketmaster?

Is there a ticket limit?
----
There is a strict limit of 4 tickets per person, per card and per billings address. This limit applies across the entire run of shows.

Any bookings exceeding the ticket limit are liable to have the excess tickets cancelled without notification.

-----

So I have 3 tickets that I got lucky with yesterday in the pre-sale. I can't buy any more than 1 other ticket for the whole of the 50 show run?

And my friends are all SHIT with buying tickets, have no idea how to click a fucking mouse in the right place and take whatever crap at the back they're always offered. Not to mention the annoying people in debt who can only stretch to 1 ticket on their credit cards.

There are going to be some seriously empty seats as all the good ones have gone to the touts and Viagogo etc. They may be able to get a couple of thousand mugs to flush their savings accounts away, but not consistently across a few months.

That only applies to the pre-sales... as far as I understand.... otherwise it should be six ticket per show!

I think it's been confirmed as for everything!

I've got my mum to lend me her details and one friend, but once AGAIN it's always up to me to get everything. People will hand over all their passwords and security details to me if it saves them the bother of getting up early, clicking a mouse and tapping on a keyboard a few times. Cunts. All of them.

If you go to the actual event site it says:

Please note: There is a ticket limit of 4 tickets per person and per credit card on this event

So you can order 4 per show... maybe they change it to 6 come tomorrow!? Who knows? But it should be 4 in any case! Would be stupid otherwise...

Well it's TRUE. I love my friends, but the fact that somehow I seem to have this GIFT of common sense when it comes to using websites, a bit of perspective over reading seating plans and buying tickets.

Do you ever get people who have obviously got Row Z of the back block of the arena and they still go "are these any good"? dead

just phoned them up and apparently its 4 tickets for all the concerts so no one can buy more than 4 tickets overall

so the most fans can go to is 4 shows out of 50 this is f**kin messed up dont they realise its the fans who see more than one show who will make it sell out
