For July 10, it's now no longer possible to search as a regular user. Only American Expressed Preferred options are left. Is this normal? Will there still be more tickets released for this date?

sad

As far as I can see, all the dates seem to be AmEx only now (well all the ones I have clicked on)

fuck that - does that really mean just having an AmEx card or is it more specific than thath? I dont have one anyway though...

^^ Well, I have an Amex (company issued, just remembered it!) and I still can't get any tickets, so I'm thinking there's a cock-up in the system somewhere.

As for calling, I can't face hitting redial on the phone.

I think the problem is you and 999,999 other people were also hoping for that seat. razz

Just keep trying. The other night I was on for about an hour with 4th tier after 4th tier ticket, then lucked out with 2 floor seats C3.

Who knows how it all works. But I suggest if you can keep trying, do so - otherwise start stalking viagogo

Seriously, I totally feel for you guys trying to get tickets, it's such an adrenaline rush and then when there are difficulties in ordering, it's a big crash. sad

For those asking why I'm posting here, the Forums are open to all members. There's nothing in the rules that say someone can't post what they think here unless it's a worshipping MJ post.

I watched the trainwreck that was supposed to be a press conference and am in disbelief that so many people think he can actually still perform after seeing that. I think he's leading people on and it's sickening because so many will be deeply disappointed if/when their show gets canceled.

You can post whatever you want, but don't expect not to be called out on it. And somehow, I doubt you're concerned for the fans. And I don't believe anyone's complaining about you wondering whether he'll make it through - I think most of us are wondering the same thing. What people are annoyed about is your unfortunate habit of injected random, unrelated and unnecessary little jibes wherever possible. It makes everything else you post seem very insincere.

Edit to clarify: It's not the jibes that make you seem insincere (those just make you look stupid). It's the fact that you make them, and then insist that you're only worried fans will be let down whenever someone calls you on it.

Think what you want, but I AM sincere when talking about ordering tickets and feeling for fans when shows get canceled. Been there, done that with Prince and it was a horrible feeling.

But some are acting like I've attacked their mother and it's silly. If you want only MJ love, maybe that would be found on an actual MJ site and not a Prince one.

I've also stated that I used to like MJ...before he took the ride on the Wacko train.

Really think they should have made people aware of this amex thing... Remember with Prince (tried this with Tina Turner too but did'nt go) great seats became available on the DAY of the gig even though they said it was sold out. That's what I'm going to do in July, there's no way they will sell all the £750 VIP tickets for 50 shows, people will get a better deal on Ebay.

I'm with Serena on this one.

I just don't see how people can look at Michael Jackson now and not feel a mix of horror and pity.

And all that "I love you very much, you need to know that" stuff just makes me feel uneasy.

I hope he plays 45 successful shows and everyone who has a ticket has the time of their life, but for me his talent simply doesn't justify the huge demand for tickets.
This is not an exit

I'm not saying the ticket stuff because of what people have posted in response to me. I said that after reading what has been posted in the last hour or two about trying to get through for the tickets.

edit to add: previous post I made on the 11th, which was also not a joking type of post:

"Just be cautiously enthused, so if the shit does hit the fan, it's not so damn disappointing. I learned that after driving up to the L.A. Forum and finding out P had cancelled the show. That was such a HORRIBLE letdown! So now I try to keep myself at the lower end of excitement until the show actually starts. Expect the worst and then whatever happens will (hopefully) be better!"

I know! It's quite addictive and annoying at the same time, haha! Glad we got tickets in the end even if they were'nt in the first block, actually I saw Stevie Wonder from block C and it was'nt a very good view because it's all on one level down there.. Coldplay apparently sold out on a friday morning last year and I got great seats on Sat morning, ticketmaster is weird!

Freedom of speech of course, but one must also consider how useful it is to post multiple messages expressing one's very negative and bitter opinions about any person They really cannot be achieving much. It would be far better for a ltd number of such posts, and to not waste time preaching such view to others who have taken the same information about the man and formed different views. Heck, plenty of fans may well believe that he is odd, but like/adore/worship him or simply like his music and dancing anyway.

We also all understand that he may well cancel shows. When we pay for tickets we knowingly take that risk. Sure we may feel disappointed, but such is life.

Why not go and spend your time being positive and discussing artists you do like?

You can be as sincere as you like, but all I have to go on are your posts and the way you come across in them. So that's what I'm going on. I don't want "only MJ love", I want to be free to call out people I see claiming one thing and then behaving in a contradictory manner.

In any case, I never saw you actually answer the question many of us have posed (including yourself). "Nobody says I can't!" is not a valid answer to why you are doing something. Nobody says I can't post negatively in Madonna threads, but I still don't do it, because I personally don't see the point.

I think Mike will be just fine. I noticed he's really not doing any nights in a row; looks like he'll do a date, then rest for a day or two before getting back on it so that he's pacing himself.

You do realise there are people that post here that don't like either Prince or MJ? lol

Besides, this site has grown beyond just being about Prince anyway. Look at the other forums. lots of merely 'casual' Prince fans. Cause of the dickish behaviour of his 'Fams' that's all i am these days.

i'll buy his music and attend his gigs, but won't discuss him much, mainly cause most of the topics up for discussion are banal, meaningless, boring crap.

I did answer why I'm posting; I said I started after seeing that stupid press conference. Since I didn't see anything positive about it, I can't say anything positive. I understand there are fans of other artists here, but it is still titled a 'Prince fan community site'.

As for the P-related threads, I agree that a whole lot of them aren't worth participating in. They've toned down some of the stupid stuff like "Do you think Prince farts", etc.. Some of that shit would even show up on the front page so I would never refer people here if they were wanting info, I'd send them to HQ.

For those still in this thread to find out about TICKETS.

After a few hours I was lucky enough to secure seats in section 110 for a show in feb for 75Pounds. I was focused on just this show as I wanted to be able to catch two consecutive shows.

I hope all those that wanted to get tickets, were successful in getting them.

LOOK.....I said this and i will say it again.

The problem here is the continuous trashing of other fellow artists when there is really no need to do it, like when you see a positive thread about someone then suddenly you start posting crap and childish comments.

you are saying this is a " Prince fan community"? ok but why prince fans discuss prince on MJ forums freely and peacefully without seeing stupid comment every minute, there was a huge thread about prince with over 1000 pages on MJNO and you rarely see a negative comment, what does that tell you? the continuous trashing of MJ on every thread on this forum is really puzzling to me .

I could criticize prince all the time if I would on many aspects but I choose not to do it when I see that there is really no need to do, I will criticize him when criticism is due, other than that I will look like a stupid.

You can criticize MJ all you want but do it when necessary

Thanks, yeah I'm hoping too. I was estactic when I first got my ticket, because I didn't think I would get ANY. But now I know how many shows there are and so many chances to get the front seats, I'm really dissapointed with them.
