None of them were great and the Friday the 13th can scarcely be considered a remake. I can't say which I like most but the Texas Chainsaw remake was crap.

I really liked the Halloween one. It really brought out his character and got to see the method of his madness...the ending was crazy and great too. I havent seen the new Jason though. And Texas Chainsaw had a little more action than the original, but not that scare factor. I was severly creeped out by the first one.

Wait a second. Isn't the remake of Nightmare On Elm Street, Child's Play, and/or Candyman in the works for the future release(s)?!?

Heyyyyy, I like the original Amityville. mad I haven't seen the new Jason yet, Rip. Die hard fans have told me it's not a let down though. And yeah, they say it's more like part 2 & 3 combined since Jason had a sack and then advanced to the mask.

Halloween remake was OK only cuz RZ was behind it and he's awesome. But im not so sure about them making Mike Myers an emo teen... confused

Texas Chainsaw was meh...but i recall an excellent decapitation scene that made me biggrin

Havent seen the new F13 yet...will be seeing it for sure.

One remake i really enjoyed was "The Hills Have Eyes" -- yes it was good!

As for the Halloween 2 remake, that's my fave in the series so it better be good!!! fight

It's not a remake of Halloween II - it's a sequel to the Rob Zombie film that has nothing to do with the 1981 film.

Nightmare on Elm Street now has a director, Samuel Bayer (directed a bunch of music videos). Hellraiser remake has been announced and has a director, but I'm too lazy to look it up now. lol I think the Child's Play remake is a rumor, and I haven't heard anything at all about a Candyman remake.

Hmm... how is that Music: Non Prince??

Anyway, Halloween (the original one) is my all time favourite horror/slasher movie, so no remake is ever gonna be good enough for me! But seeing that they drove the original series into the ground (Ressurrection was just awful), with no real possibility of continuing it probably was best to start anew! Like this we get some additional Halloween movies, where we can forget the other crap that has happened! I'm glad they made a remake! While I don't like the white trash background, which they put on Michael (it's so much more scarier when a child from a perfect family just snaps and starts killing, instead of coming from a dysfunctional trash family... I mean, what career options do you have other than to slash up people? biggrin ) I really loved the new mask! And some plotholes aside, which the clever Mr. Zombie invented in an attempt to explain things, which he felt where unexplained in the original one, it was quite okay!

With Chainsaw and Friday I'm not that emotionally attached, I like them, but I don't care to much what they make out of it or whether they ruin anything... that said, I really did like Chainsaw, this one felt more like a proper movie, whilst the original one was rather simplistic and in a way even a bit disappointing when I saw it for the first time... additionally, Jessica Biel in that sweaty shirt alone was worth the admission... razz )! Friday I watched last friday and I had big hopes for it... the movie poster and campaign looked awesome! But the movie was, like most of the times, a big letdown! I mean, it was okay, but they could have made so much more out of it, like getting rid of Jason being some superhuman dude, who comes back from dead and also they should have avoided to create additional plotholes!

So, in closing I have to say that RZ's Halloween was my favourite.. but I'm biased!

I saw Friday the 13th today.....and I actually liked it a lot. It was much better than the last two Jason movies. It'll definitely be apart of my box set once it hits dvd. I think Michael Bay should've just called this another part rather than his "re-imaging". Jason wasn't joking around in this one. He came out full force.....and strategic. stab
