90s Obscure Jam: "Street of Dreams" by Nia Peeples

This was a good song-remember she used to be married to Howard Hewett. He is singing backup on this track/

I bought the album that this song comes from years ago, but I never listened to it.....checkin it out right now.

Another song on the album, "The Entity (Sex)" was written and produced by Bernadette Cooper of Klymaxx. cool

Nia isn't a bad singer. This is a good song, but it is dated-typical 90s production

True. I still like it alot though (and no doubt thats why I like it). Typical early 90's Carl Sturken/Evan Rogers (Donny Osmond, Rhythm Syndicate, Barry Lather) writing and production.

Its Nia and Evan on backing vocals bytheway (I can clearly hear Evan), not Howard.

I love her obscure "you dont have to aske me twice" from the "sing" OST. Good pop.

Nia Peeples "you dont have to ask me twice"

It says in the credits that it's Nia Peeples & Evan Rogers.

Have you heard Alisa Randolph's version of "The Entity (Sex)"? I want to hear Nina's verion.

It's funny because both versions came out around the same time. I can understand Bernadette giving it to Alisa since she was a protege and Bernadette producer her album.

She has a nice voice. The cd is ok. She used to be in the group Madame X, then went solo with the help of Bernadette.
