Sounds good to me that J&L are back and ready to do MUSIC with Janet. I have a good feeling about it, being optimistic here. Also i heard that Jesse Johnson is'nt doing dates with The Time? Is this true? If so then there goes The Time reunion. I hear its being billed The Time Feat Jam & Lewis.....Can someone help me with this one??

All of her tours are amazing but I think RWT didnt have that "UMPH" like the other tours Ok, maybe we didn't watch the same shows because Janet was nonstop for 2.5 hours at my shows. She cut out all the crap that people complained about for the previous 3 tours (whimsical medley, ballad section where she sits on a stool and cries, etc.) and actually did some new stuff, like the pre-Control medley. I kNow right! I like this tour. She gave 3 dozen plus song and she was doing it!

Eh, I'll bite. IMO, Janet's been spotty since '01 (loved Damita Jo, AFY was decent, 20 YO and Discipline were pretty terrible), but I'll at least download it and give it a spin. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

I don't know why they didn't do it for Control. But that'll be great if they do do it. Make up for lost time!

If Madonna's not getting that treatment for Like A Prayer, then I wouldn't expect anything for Wackson. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Madonna is a respected artist? No, of course not. Madonna's in the same category as Wackson, but ranked (rightly or wrongly) higher than her. Like A Prayer is seen by most as her best album and it's only about a month away from it's 20th anniversary. It's actually a great album, but I haven't heard about any special editions coming out. So if LAP ain't getting no special treatment, then I can't see RN getting it. BTW, I listened to RN and Control about a year ago for the first time in over a decade, and neither of them are as good as I remembered. There are only about five Janet songs that I think are worth keeping, which is not much more than Paula Abdul. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I'm still a fan DREADFUL movie! That flaming hot mess of a queen will not convince me he's straight. He purses those lips tighter than a virgin's hoochie coo. Anyway, I liked Discipline. I hope the "reunion" with J&L is a fruitful one. I'm long past hoping for another Control or RN 1814, but some good, signature-sounding J&L tunes would make this 'mo happy.

Its not so much WHO Janet has at the helm its more what she is bringing to the table. I mean back in 1999 Prince did the whole RAVE thing and talked about bringing "prince" back in the mix and the old type stuff, but the album for the most part, was his weakest ever, so its not about reunions, and "were going back on this one", thats all talk and hype bullshit, impress with me product. I think Janet Jackson's musical career peaked before the Super Bowl with 'wardrobe malfunction'. Now it is memories. An act whose fanbase comes from screaming teens and fresh erection boys, kind of looses their sheen when they get in their forties.
The fans are older now and they are not gonna 'scream' for Janet anymore. Perhaps she should concentrate on acting. Music Royalty in Motion

full albums are not working for her in terms of numbers though her music is still awesome, so I think being in movies and doing songs for the soundtrack would work to her advantage for a bit, and if it's a single and really good, it could do really really well on itunes without an album not getting hype at the same time

No, she's not. Did she sign with Live Nation or is she still shopping? Okay, so I'm going with she signed with Live Nation for her next album release. [Edited 2/11/09 10:12am] Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
