One Night With A Drag Queen

[b]It was a night to remember, January 20, 2009, hours after a new president had been sworn in, it was time to party. The African-American Inaugural Heritage Ball or whatever the hell it was called, with Patti LaBelle, The O’Jays, Midnight Star, Donnie McClurkin, The Richard Payne Trio and others.
It was sold out , as a matter of fact, oversold, There were sports stars, politicians and ballers all in attendance, everybody ready to get on the “Love Train”, catch a “New Attitude” and definitely “No Parking On The Dance Floor”. Well, almost…it seems that the headliner wanted to open the show. She, a female (we presume) from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, born Patricia Louise Holt, decided as show time was upon us, hat it would be better for her to open , even though the stage had been set for other to come on in fornt of her as was the contract. She paid 100k to headline, held the show up for over over two hours whilst in fierce negotiations with the promoter. The ex-homosexual minister of music singer (healed by Jesus) Donnie McClurkin simply wanted to sing three songs to a cd, (called a track date), he had no band, easy maintenance, right? Wrong, Labelle, the drag queen looking heffa from the city of brotherly love still wanted to open the show.
Finally ole cured one went on. The drag queen looking Patti LaBell then decide, okay I will close if I can get a table upfront, right in front of the stage so as to watch the other performers if I have to close. Problem, no tables left, no room in venue left, the joint was a complete sell-out, oversold, remember, so she got mad and went on and performed, completely screwing up the stage set-up and show order again. She performed for 35 minutes or so, telling the crow they were rushing ‘Miss Patti’. The O’Jays came next, and after a very abbreviated set were powered off, curfew of 2AM had struck. The audience was pissed, the promoters were pissed, the entertainers were pissed, so after one night with a drag queen, never again. Now I know why I don’t like Patti LaBelle, she is a bit**, and she looks like a man that wears make-up to look like a woman, an she screams off pitch and she thinks she is the shit, well actually she is - a piece of shit!
