Hmm, well... since I've seen most of the artists already, I knew what to expect (well, Europe in Stockholm was special, as they did a semi unplugged concert, which was broadcast over the net... even though it was disappointingly short) and no one really disappointed... I liked all of them, except Bernard Fowler was a bit disappointing... I mean, him and the Bad Dogs consists of great musicians, who definitely can play... it's just their songs kinda lack and they didn't really manage to connect with the audience! Chuck Berry was disappointing for length... he only played like 55 minutes... but then again, he still does it at his high age!

But overall, I'd say Billy Idol and the Bangles were my favourites! I hadn't planned to see them twice... but they were so good, so I had to go again! Cavalera Conspiracy was great too, much better than Soulfly a year earlier at the same location! And the Janet concert in New Jersey (my second show of 3)... I was front row and had plenty of interaction with her! That was great!

Some of you really saw some great shows last year! I did not get out as much as I would have liked, but here's my short list. All of the shows were GREAT!

Erykah Badu (The Roots)
Stevie Wonder - Amazing
Chaka Khan
George Michael - my favorite of all the shows!
Santana
Prince A Family Reunion - seeing Dez play a bit of Modernaire was priceless, not to mention I loved Stokely's rendition of "She's Always in My Hair."

Thanks! It's honestly a chore to write the reviews each month, but I'm so thankful for having written them after they are done so I have some sort of record of what I thought about each show at the time. I wish I had done that for every show I've seen and not just for the ones from the past few years. Some of the earlier concerts I've been to, I remember nothing. sad

Diamanda did a Valentine's Day show here for a few years in a row. None this year though.
