One of my feel-good songs... reminds me of being young. Good times, good times... "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Black weddings play the HELL outta that joint for some reason I still can't figure out But it is a feel-good song and the album it came from is the KNOCK too Even though Wayne Cooper's absence left a void.

I LOVE this song. My mom brought me this album after I heard "Candy" cause I loved it so much. It's still my jam to this day. The video made me want to go to Times Square but Mom wasn't having it and for good reason to, at the time. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Yes, this is a badass song.
Shame it sounded so much like "Word Up," though. Also, I remember reading a review of one of their greatest hits albums and the critic pointed out that this song bore a "wry cocaine reference." I never would have guessed. Oh well, what do you expect? They toured with Parliament Funkadelic back in the day.

Totally different vibes, otherwise. And, I've often found Candy to be the more melodic of the two.

Dunno, but after reading that article I just thought the whole song was about Coke. Lyrics like "you're taking my appetite, but it's all right" and "you're givin me a heart attack, it's the kind I like" kinda made me wonder.
