I'm not good with this. When I'm hurt or depressed, I tend to play music that feeds my ill mood. confused

Based on a mixtape he recently posted, I suspect Supa's the resident expert on healing/survival music.

Joni Mitchell - River
Joni Mitchell - Down to You
Johnny Lang - I Am
Natalie Imbruglia - Torn
Natalie Merchant - My Skin
Natalie Merchant - Break Your Heart
(Hmm, now that I think of it, the entire Ophelia album by Natalie merchant)
Nickleback - Far Away
Pink Floyd - Poles Apart
Rachel Yamagata - Letter Read
Rachel Yamagata - Be Be Your Love
Rachel Yamagata - Worn Me Down
Sarah McLachlan - I Will Remember You
Suzanne Vega - In Liverpool
Suzanne Vega - Blood Sings
Suzanne Vega - Small Blue Thing
Rickie Lee Jones - It Hurts
Rickie Lee Jones - Where I Like it Best
Chantal Kreviacuk - What if it All Means Something

lol I could keep going. There are so many artists/albums/songs that touch me deeply and are very healing to me, or touch me in a way that opens up something within me, sings to my soul. The songs I've listed though have that element of bringing me to tears everytime I hear them. And sometimes, when your heart is broken, it's good to let the tears flow over a song (or to let the song tap into that "hurt" and let's you embrace it for a little while before letting it go). Sometimes loving someone hurts so very much but one doesn't love by choice, or plan, and you just gotta feel what you feel.
