Meshell in Amsterdam

Meshell has put down a really relaxt show. Nobody could leave without a feelgood mood. I expected a little more action but it still was good. Some sting stuff at the end, no prince this time

Yeah, the show was okay, but nothing more than that! Excellent band, especially the drummer. What went wrong during the soundcheck? I mean most of the time Meshell'svoice was drowned into the key-board sounds. Shame! Also, the guitar-sound was way too much on the background!
Not much action, I liked the DJ, cool dude had his thing when they jammed a reggea-tune in the end.

One more thing: I was not impressed with Meshell's bass-playing, she didn't seem to enjoy it!

I give the show a 7 out of 10.

I'm genuinely curious: what do people mean when they say this? Did you expect her to dance around or something? I really wanna know what "action" people are looking for...

What I mean is that I would have welcomed some more uptempo music, like from 'Plantation Lullabies'. The set was slow, and that's wonderful. The band was very skilled, unfortunately was the sound-mix fucked!

BTW, Meshell did make some moves! I had expected her to be a lot taller!

I might be wrong but the impression i had at the Paris show was that something was restraining her & the band from completly let it go.

I see what you mean, how was the crowd in Paris? Overhere everybody was talking and kept on talking, very noisy. The strange thing was that there was always a big response from the crowd after each song.

The crowd was hot as hell, man & the place was packed !!
People were talking & noisy during the Dj set opening & then was very attentive when Meshell got on stage.
