[ This is my first time seeing this video [Thanks as always YOUTUBE!! -- I love reading YouTube comments with people who used to go out and dance to these songs when they were new and say "I remember jamming to this in '83 in Ft. Lauderdale" -- my favorite comment lol] Groove Radio 103.1 (my favorite radio station ever) used to play this all the time. And I still love it. ]

Ok, I got a few Evelyn Thomas cuts that are my personal faves. "High Energy" is the most known, but these two are great to dance to and underrated by her, imo.

"Catch the fox" is the shit LOL.

I dont have much hi nrg stuff, but the few things I own could be classed as high nrg though? What do you reckon Mara? Definately european plebby dance music anyway.

I think Pet shop boys were heavily influenced by euro high nrg production wise. Same with that whole horrible SAW camp, except they killed all life outta the vast majority of their productions.

...Mark Spiro is a respected, if slightly culty, AOR artist. He must be ashamed of that commerical high nrg disco track LOL. I love it though. Great fun. I guess Laura Branigan is in the same camp, but maybe poppier.

Laban's "love in syberia" is cool. Surprise surprise the album is poor LOL

I need to get a comp one day. I got a Den harrow comp, but little else.

YEAHHH!

I'm glad you came through with your reponse. As soon as I heard "Catch the Fox" kick in I was like headbang

This wasn't what I was going for when I was talking of Hi-NRG. I was thinking more disco-oriented club tracks with really fast beats per minute, but I just enjoy your selections anyway.

I hear ya. There were some great tunes by Jaki Graham that I like. Somewhat comparable to Evelyn Thomas. I liked "Round and Around" by her, a lot.

I wish I could dance to this @ a club night. I would have so much fun to this on a dancefloor. I really like the sound of this track.

I'm taking mental notes on all these tunes, sexofit. Awesome stuff.

Lime ROCKS! I discovered them through Sirius dance/disco channel the Strobe and love the track "Babe, We're Gonna Love Tonite"! Unfortunately, the channel is now gone and their substitute programming doesn't acknowledge Lime ever existed! They do play "Trans X", though. ANd they are Waaay too into the Jacksons, always playing them. In one hour, they played Jermaine Jackson "Dynamite" than Michael Jackson "Jam" (1992...not the eighties!) and ANOTHER JACKO track (a better one, "Off the Wall"). Damn you, Sirius and whatever programmer had a hard-on for the Jackson boys!
