New Jamie Foxx cd..... Have u guys heard Jamie's new cd? Half the tracks are with "featured" guest.
I thought Jamie had a lot of promise with his very 1st cd, but he he has moved completely away from R&B into this hip-hop nonsense. Not a good look. [Edited 12/11/08 8:19am]

And he brags too fucking much and he was trying to sound like Ray every time you saw him "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Someone is trying to sell records, artistic integrity be damned. Has he even had anything that looks like a watchable movie since "Ray"? He is not hitting on all cylinders... Many people are complaining that his Sirius radio station is a multi million deal for a channel that does not pulling in subscribers and is taking too much money away from the company. He's a talented guy but he needs to do some quality movies.

"The Kingdom" was okay but point taken. One of those "I hate Arabs" themed movies He lost it COMPLETELY after Ray, sadly

Jamie has changed quite a bit since his Oscar win. Not 4 the good from where I'm sitting.

One of those "I hate Arabs" themed movies He lost it COMPLETELY after Ray, sadly In 2004, he had "Ray", a supporting role with Rom Cruise where he stole some of his thunder (event though Tom had the juicy villain role) AND was winning TV awards for a TV movie called "Redemption" where he plays a prisoner. His follow ups included "Stealth" that was pushed back pretty often and maybe only released because of Jamie's success. I might be wrong on that but it was a movie that lost a notorious amount of money! "Dreamgirls" wasn't bad and I think he got good marks for "Jarhead" but those were supporting roles. But "Miami Vice"...could that have even sounded good on paper? Talk about a bad choice. His next film is with Robert Downey, Jr. so it might be good.

"The Kingdom" was not the average action flick. I thought that movie was good and definitely wasn't presented as a "hate" movie. It was gritty realism and you could see the Jamie foxx character go through a learning process due to the heroism of the lead middle-eastern character.
He just needs to make more films, but the parts aren't out there for Black actors. (My dad acts in TV/Film/and stage and the good parts aren't written for us.) [ZUNECARD]MikeChristopher[/ZUNECARD]

The only song I could tolerate from the first album was the "Heaven" song (I forget the exact title), so I doubt I'll like anything on the second. Nice voice, shit material. WHERE have all the songwriters gone
