Oh yes... what she says is not fact, but what someone else makes up is fact! Besides, why should Jermaine hold it up... he already said that he would like to have a baby with her and he already is a father... so he knows how it is, whereas Janet hasn't been a mother before! So it makes sense that she's the one, who has to commit to it and jump over her shadow, so to say! And where is she contradicting herself?? She obviously wants it to happen eventually, but is not quite ready to make that step yet! Even though time is ticking!

I really believe in my heart I saw Janet with daughter on an award show.

She was getting an award for songwriter for that song ... from Poetic Justice.

And she was there with the man who cowrote or coproduced the song.

Before the award, this man and janet was sitting in the audience and janet was hold a little girl, appeared biracial with long brown curly hair. She was about 4 or 5 years old and sitting on Janet's lap.

When Janet and partner got the award and went up on stage to get the award... the little girl sat in Jantet's empty seat, not the partner. AT first I thougth the girl was the man's daugther... but when they went up on stage... I was very surprised that the girl didn't sit in her "dad's" seat... then it dawned on me that maybe this wasn't her dad... maybe she was there with Janet.

To me, she had her baby in France, arranged to have someone care for the baby and then she decided it was time to quit playing around and get on with her life.

I also believed too that James and Janet had a child together, and James barely denied the accusations when the "mystery child" question comes up.

Is Renee her daughter? We shall see. But the truth will usually come out, just like the public found out about Diana have a kid by Barry Gordy when her child became adult.

You're right, it was a publicity stunt/gag that took on a life of it's own.And MTO is keep it alive with this "tell all book" bullshit yet they don't have confirmation from the author or the publisher, nor the name of the publishing house, or a release date. And what's so sad about this is that people are actually believing this plus the fact that a young woman's name (I don't even want to type her name out of respect to her) and face is being exposed and her actual mother died around this time in '97. i wish I could find this old photo of Janet and James. They were at some function and Janet looked very full in the midsection and face area. It wasn't the usual overall weight gain. Of course because of the severe rhinoplasty we can't tell by the nose but I think if we had known this would become a big rumor/mystery maybe we would have documented more.

I used to have a photographic memory but now it is failing. However, I can almost "see" this photograph in my mind. Janet is sort of turning her head over her left shoulder and looking up at James. It looked like domestic bliss pose. Then the next picture I saw was Jante on Ebony.. I think the cover background was white and she has I think green eyes. She had on colored contacts. And I was very interested in color contacts at that time and I asked many optometrist about them and was told they were not available yet, only approved for use in France. And interesting enough, Janet mentioned about going to Europre after the divorce (to get her mind clear) and came back like gang busters with the Control album.
My thought was "hmm" Janet had baby in France (out of the sight of prying American press) and some how found suitable care for her and now she is focused on her career. She mentioned how "hard" this all was. I was under the impression that Someone (possibly her father?) convinced her to divorce James and hide the baby for her new image and career, and it was a hard decision to make but she was going to try it.

People hide kids all the time in order to make it big in old hollywood. Somehow Joe seems to subsribed to the old hollywood. Remember how the Jackson boys had to sneak off to get married? How Michael was so concern that the marriage would hurt their fans? Who in their right mind worry about hurting the fans when deciding to get married? Why would Michael even think that way unless an adult was saying this? Old Hollywood Joe Jackson would most certainly orchestrate hiding Janet and James' baby.

yes, I am a woman, and in the medical field. At that age, the baby is then stillborn... not misscarried. And therefore has to have a disposal of human remains... not necessarily a funeral.. but there has to be some sort of burial or cremation. I don't consider that a miscarriage.. but a stillborn.

To me, stillborn is a bit more dramatic then a miscarriage... there has to be a death certificate which means there has to be a name for the deceased.

This would seem harder to hide than a miscarriage that happens in your doctor's office... and since Janet was too far along for a "miscarriage" I personally don't beleive she had a stillborn and someone didn't spill the beans.
