lol She isn't pregnant. It's L&S putting an old ass candid of her on the cover and saying "Janet's telling FRIENDS she's pregnant!" Must have been a slow week in the world of fake news.

Janet dumb. Why's it up to him??? You got money, you're the one carrying the baby, and without time on your side. So why's it up to him??? Shit, it ain't like you got something betta to do. lol I think she's preggers and this is all deflection, as if anyone cares that much. rolleyes

So now she's not pregnant and Life & Style put them on the cover? Ridiculous.

I'm a little perplexed as to why it's up to Jermaine too. By the time he's ready she might be closed for business. So I guess if he says he doesn't want rugrats they're not having any. And if she's waiting for the stars to align she can forget about it. lol

Okay, so Janet may or may not be, but maybe there's something in the water for all these old broads....and not to thread jack, but what about Mariah? The press has been chiding her about her fat face and insistence on being fully clothed lately...not to mention that little trick Ellen played on her recently where she dared Mimi to drink, yet wouldn't take any champagne when offered during the show. You know it's hard not to put Mariah and champagne in the same sentence, let alone real time lol. The poor thing was so mortified...Maybe old Nicky Nick might have hit a home run recently lol

But in all sincerity, as old fashioned as it sounds, out of superstition many women refuse to reveal whether or not they are pregnant until they are safely into their second trimester. There are a lot of tests that can be performed in month 4 that will give mom and fetus safe clearance for major medical issues, so a lot of ladies do duck and deflect addressing pregnancy publicly and directly until they have that blessed (and confirmed) reassurance that everything is okay. Antiquated, maybe...but not uncommon...

I have no problem with her waitingto announce or never making a formal statement if she chooses not to. It's her business and she's not obligated to say anything if she don't want to. The thing I'm questioning is IF she wants kids why would she say it's all up to him (if she did say this). She's a grown ass, liberated, financially independent woman but she's waiting on some ugly lil troll to give HER the greenlight to reproduce??? omfg If she said this shit, Janet dumb.

lol I'm down for not talking about the pregnancy until the person is ready.

I really think this is the fault of the media. As soon as they start dating they start pushing marriage. As soon as you get married they start pushing babies and soon after or even before their pushing divorce or adultery. For all our chatter none of this is our business. This whole baby bump watch and Hollywood baby boom thing gets on my nerves. These folks may get enough pressure from family and friends without a journalist sticking a mic in their face and asking them such a personal question and I do think it's a personal question.

So now babies are the new celebs. Suri, Apple, Shiloh, Zahara, Brooklyn... How and why do we know these celebrity baby names (or is it just me? lol)? Do they have movies and albums out? They're just babies and toddlers for goodness sake.

Anyway, I don't think they should be pushing these people to have babies and asking them directly. As for Mariah and Nick, give them a chance to be married. It's only been six months! Damn.

As for Janet leaving it up to Jermaine, there may be more that we don't know about but it just reminds me of her career.

I agree 100% I get tired of hearing about celeb babies. It's just setting up the next generation of useless celebutantes that are famous for NO damn reason like Nicole and Paris. disbelief At the same time though, I place a lot of the blame directly on the parents. Maybe if they didn't sell their kids pics for millions they'd have some damn privacy. They can't have it both ways. If you don't wanna discuss your private life, don't. EVER. Say what you will about Prince but he's been pretty good about keeping his mouf on lock about his private bizness and not pimpin' his private life for business purpose . . . the Oprah interview notwithstanding. confused

If ole girl is knocked up, I wouldn't see the statement than being anything more than deflection. Lie,deny,or just say any ole thing until you get through your fourth month. You think ole troll boy WOULDN't want to pop a seed in a woman of Jan's stature? I mean, sans enfant, she can probably still get any dude she wants, of hefty accomplishment and bank account...but my guess is his gremlin lookin' self would be a bigger target for chicken heads trying to collect a child support check each month. Also, because I didn't hear the original statement I don't know the context of how she phrased it. I've heard women say all the time that you can't force a man to do this or that until he's ready in his own time, myself included, because it takes two to be actively committed to major life altering decisions when you're in a relationship. But the context in which it's truly meant can mean that the woman is focusing on the here and now, on her own life opportunities, and you can cross that baby-marriage-bridge thingy when you get to it. Pulling a piece of a quote to make tittilating press is one thing, but again, I didn't hear or read her quote in its'entirety. For all I know she could have been playing 1950's throwback (although I'm inclined not to believe that)...or she could've have been leaning towards that ultra-uber-moderne twist that says life brings what it brings when it brings it and I'm secure enough to not presure or to stress my partner. Who the heck knows? I know that I sure don't...and Dang it! I wanted to watch some youtube now,but it's under maintainence .I wanted to find the Mariah video bawl. I think it might just be babymaking season for all these old chicks...all thse puffy ass faces and whatnot smile

I just noticed that too about celeb children. Toddlers are the new "IT" in Hollywood:-o . Is there ANY reason whatsoever that we need to see what Suri Cruise is wearing on the cover of every magazine on a weekly basis? Had he lived long enough I bet Mr.Blackwell would have been coerced into making a best dressed celeb baby list just to keep up with modern media- it's ridiculous.

Back in my day the only kids you heard about in the gossip papers were Kennedy Kids, Onassis kids, the Grimaldis (royal family of Monaco) and the Kashoggi clan. After that, beyond that, no one was interested in plastering young folks on the covers of tabloids unless they were old enough to have actually DONE something with their lives.

Yeah, the Jacksons have a long history of doing this lol They're not always very forthcoming when rumors surface and they sit back and allow rumors to spread like wildfire...lol...that's why when stories like this surface, people don't always believe the eventual denials, lol. In the early 90s,there were rumors that Janet secretly married her boyfriend Rene Elizondo, which she denied at the time.We all know how that turned out.

I certainly don't care what these fools do, but people are gonna discuss regardless but as a celeb why contribute to the discussion by playing a bunch of games? Either be honest and direct or stfu

I sure remember when I read that Janet was expecting the first time. It was in the entertainment section of my local small town paper. Puleeze, not hardly a tabloid. Janet had a baby. I would love to see a picture of her. I bet she is pretty.
