Bunny mentioned it in her book and I also read it somewhere. Her mother has also had cancer. And if you watch the Debarge unsung thing, it is clear she is wearing a wig

Bobby's wife is pretty but she looks awfully young. I didn't expect that. I wouldn't put her a day over 34 at the most.
El's wife did seem kinda rough around the edges

Someone on this board said that Terry was really, really young when she got with Bobby. Interesting that El's wife was on there because from what I heard, they are seperated. She looks ghetto as hell and like she would have no problem cutting a bitch.

Okay,just saw it all online. All I can say is DAMN, those kids had it ROUGH . It's a wonder they didn't turn into serial killers. God bless them and keep these folks just for having drug issues...damn..that was some Gloria Naylor/Toni Morrison-esque shit they lived through as kids.

Well, I don't think Chico or the twins experienced the brunt of the abuse. They would have been really small when their mom finally left their dad or vice versa

The DeBarge special was really good. It was great to learn more about their history. And since majority of the documentary was sad, I couldn't wait to watch this cheery video afterward:





Love this song. And El, gosh, he was sooo cute back then.
In some ways, El was like a MJ/Prince hybrid with the looks and dance moves he would do (this song itself kinda sounds like it came from Minneapolis, LOL), but thankfully like his brothers he had his own wonderfully pretty voice.

I think that is Chico on drums. And I would disagree about El and dancing. He could move, but he is not the natural dancer that P and MJ are. Hell, Chico has better rhythm.

But what I was referring to was that in all the clips I've seen of him solo or with DeBarge, it looks like he was trying to move like Michael, with certain foot shuffle steps, attempts at spins, knee bends, shoulder movements, facial expressions, etc. For example, whenever I watch El move in the "Rhythm of the Night" video I immediately think of MJ's early style of solo dancing in "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Rock With You." El was definitely not as precise, but he was trying, LOL. It's really funny to me.

El dancing is due less to him wanting to being like Mike, than that was just the 80s style of dancing.
