That's a good choice. I might be a copy cat and pick it up myself. Wasn't feeling that new Harry Connick. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Did you buy that one? It wasn't very good? No, I just previewed it. I remember his very first Xmas CD (he's got like 3 now) and I thought I liked that one but haven't heard it in years. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Really cool.
Not sure what the situation with Christmas music stations are in your areas but here in Detroit, one of the two big AC stations (WNIC) turns into a 24-7 Christmas station (not sure if they even have DJs working at the time!) and play the usual Christmas songs with a smattering of some recent Christmas tunes. On Sirius XM (which I'm having issues with lately) they turn one station into that kind of channel. I haven't listened to the new Sirius XM version but I remember the Sirius version didn't have a lot of imagination or variety and was pretty close to the one in Detroit. Anyway, its really nice to see these collections since many R&B artists tend to record Christmas albums yet they are under represented on radio! I have the O Jays Christmas CD and played it just a few hours ago. Really good. The first song (an original titled "I Can Hardly Wait Til Christmas") should be a modern classic.

I played this CD over the weekend and there's only one minor problem with it...
The version of "Silent Night" by the Temptations is NOT the version I was looking for The Temptations recorded two Christmas albums, one in 1970 and one in 1980,if I'm not mistaken. Both albums feature "Silent Night",but it's the 1980 recording that I prefer.Y'all know that version.....it's a very lengthy version, slow and soulful the version on this CD is from the earlier album and it's decent, but not nearly as good. Oh well...

Now that is pure rap and Kurtis was the originator, the Breaks and this song are like the two most classic raps ever recorded. Who'd a thought all this gangsta bling bling crap would stream out of it. Thanks for uploading these 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

That earlier version sounds "traditional" and you know Andy don't like nothing traditional. Andy is a four letter word.
