Usher tour scaled down?

As far as I knew Usher was about the biggest act of 2004. He had a huge tour and all. But by the look of his One Night Stand Tour he's not doing to well.

The night here in Houston is scheduled at The House Of Blues. And although it's brand new I know Houses Of Blues are theaters , kind of small for a super artist like Usher.

SO is he doing this smaller tour cause he wants to or has to?

It was said at his latest concert, it was a 4,000 seat arena and it wasn't even sold out

They aren't really promoting this tour like they did the previous tours. I think he wants to do small venues because he's never played them.

If I can find a cheap ticket. Usher is not worth $100 to me. Maybe $50 or so. I'm keeping my eye on Craigslist (like I did for Janet).

Yes the 8701 Tour and Confessions were very good. I gained much respect for him afterwards.

Hell, I enjoyed him when he opened for Janet during the Velvet Rope tour. He had his first big hit with "You Make Me Wanna" and the show was very good.

At least he's not faking illnesses to save face. He's being a man about it and working regardless of sales. If you're a performer, that's what you do, perform, whether it's arenas or clubs.

Well, you are obviously listening since you took the time to comment. wink

Yeah, I saw him when he opened with Janet and it was really good. But I actually prefer intimate venues so maybe it'll be good at HOB.

I like small venues also. I really miss the Bronco Bowl. That was a very good place to see a show. There was not a bad seat in the house. The biggest drawback was the sound. Nokia is a good venue for a show. The sound is really good there. I've never been to HOB. How is it there?

Yeah, I remember the Bronco Bowl. I love HOB which is in the old Starck club. However, it's standing room only in front of the stage and all the seats are upstairs. But I don't mind standing in order to be in front of the stage. It's visually and sonically a first class venue. thumbs up!
