My major gripe with the 30th Anniversary Celebration was the tribute performances

I wasn't tryin to see muthafuckin Shaggy, Marc Anthony, 98 Degrees, Britney Spears, Billy Gilman, Beyonce and 'nem lol, and Monica!

I completely agree with you on this. I really hate the tributes. I'm not saying that MJ doesn't deserve them. He's done so much for music and is such an inspiration for so many performers and fans so okay, yeah. He deserves to have tributes. However, I personally do not wish to see or hearthose kids perform. They should do that stuff in private. The only person that I want to see perform is Michael and alone... or with his family...or with Diana Ross.

On the other hand, I don't have any problem with Princes colaborations because he always colaborates with good talented people (excluding some protoges) and is always able to turn it into a good show.

The only thing that tribute is good for is so you can point to it when people complain about his looks these days and be like 'yeah, but at least he doesn't look like that anymore!'

OMG, that was so bad. HIs attempt to dance looked ridiculous, he looked his worst and the chorus was unlistenble to. The only thing that was ok was him singing the verses.

It´s good to see that he´s in better shape today. i can´t judge artistically, but at least he looks better, healthier, so hopefully, he´s also in a better shape. I don´t know what was wrong with him at that time.

And BTW, thanks for posting. I haven´t seen it before.

If I see the word 'nucca' one more time... lol

I went to both shows and have only watched replays once because the cringe factor is so high for me. I hate how he keeps covering his mouth, looking down or up—I know why he’s doing it but I hate it. It makes for very poor showmanship. There were other things too but I don’t get a warm and fuzzy feeling watching it like I did watching Motown 25 for many years.

Hold up!

That dancing part 0:35-0:45!!! Aww damn!! Nucca was actually gettin' down

That part alone OWNS the broadcasted version with Chris Tucker and Usher lol

and this version was actually live

Nope. It's half live, half mimed. The verses and middle 8 are all mimed. Those are the bits that sound decent. The other sections are live. Those are the bits that sound terrible.

I don't know how much more evidence it's gonna take for you guys to face the fact that your man can't sing live anymore.
