Bloody Talkbox!!! When i went to see him in Birmingham last month he completly killed the concert by spending about 20mins on the stupid talkbox!!!
We got some "Never can say goodbye", "She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah" and something else that i can't remember right now :s

I agree completely. Went to see him on Tuesday 30th Sept at the O2 and as you said, the talkbox part ruined it. It just went on too long!

Overall, although it pains me to say it, I was disappointed with the whole concert. I have been a big fan for a long time and this was the first time I have seen him and just expected more. Possibly after seeing Prince 7 times during his 21 night tour my expectations were too high (no pun intended!).
No child is bad from the beginning. They only imitate their atmosphere.

Some people love the Talkbox segment of the show and others don't, Sometimes he does it a few minutes and other times longer depending on where he's at. There's also a drumset and sometimes he plays that if he feels like it.I've seen Stevie in concert on September 14th in Rotterdam and loved every second of it. I think the Talkbox is funny and cracks me up and isn't as easy as it may seem. He's also done "What's Going On" and a lot of other songs. cool

I'll admit, it did cross my mind as to why he was playing covers with the talkbox when he has such a great catalogue. Would much rather have heard For Once In My Life or A Place in The Sun or Uptight or I Was Made To Love Her or Another Star. I guess he's just trying to keep it fun for himself. Also the pacing was kinda stalled for the first half of the show because he'd get the crowd going for no more than 2 songs and then do a long instrumental into a ballad, and there was kind of a long ballad section in the concert where people were getting a little restless around me. The show finished strong but didn't have an encore. He was in really good voice, better than on some of the live boots of recent that I've heard so I was really thrilled.

I love it when Stevie uses the talkbox. He did "My Eyes Don't Cry" when I saw him up in Baltimore. music
